Student answer (Band 5.0)
few people say in information age theatres and cinemas are no longer significant as they watch entertaining programs online. other say it is best for cultures and economy. I agree as that for such ages residents, it is not convenient to go cinemas and theatres especially watching shows.i also disagree with it as theaters and cinemas play a crucial role in developing country culture and economy.
In the information eras, they have to watch their favourite shows online. As it is hard for them to go outside lonely for nothing special. it is also hard for them to walk and waste their time in useless activity. for example, a considerable number of such population can not pay heed to something as they often face some health issues in them. they often can not walk and stand for long as buying tickets of theatres can make them feeling lazy. it even make a young person to feel bad.
on the hand, theaters and cinemas play a significant part for developing country cultures and economy. it provides a special role in represting the country on international levels. for a person of such era it is more beneficial to attach them with cultures.in the early ages, when internet and mobiles were not discovered. then these theaters and cinemas contain a huge crowd which represent their love for traditions. it also provides a part in a countrys economy. for example, when a movie of a superstar released, then a lot of public buy tickets which make countrys progress fast.
in the conclusion, i would prefer theaters and cinemas that it attach them with their country cultres.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—that digital platforms make theatres and cinemas obsolete, and that physical venues remain culturally and economically vital—while also providing a personal opinion. However, the ideas are somewhat limited and under-developed. For example, the arguments regarding why people prefer online viewing (such as health issues or walking difficulties) are slightly obscure and not fully articulated. The student's position is stated, but the support lacks depth and clarity in places, aligning best with the Band 5 descriptors where the task is addressed, but the development remains basic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The response uses paragraphing to separate different parts of the argument, and there is an attempt at overall organization. However, cohesion is frequently faulty and mechanical. Cohesive devices are often inadequate or inaccurate, such as 'on the hand,' instead of 'on the other hand,' and 'in the conclusion,' instead of 'in conclusion.' Additionally, referencing is occasionally unclear (e.g., pronoun ambiguity like 'they have to watch...'). There is a lack of smooth transitions between sentences and ideas, which places the response securely in the Band 5 category.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and repetitive, with noticeable errors that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. Phrases such as 'information age,' 'economic and cultural,' and 'country culture' are attempted, but there are frequent word-choice and collocation errors, such as 'pay heed to something as they often face some health issues in them' and 'buying tickets of theatres can make them feeling lazy.' Spelling errors also occur, such as 'represting' and 'countrys.' These characteristics match the Band 5 descriptors for lexical resource.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control is weak. There are frequent grammatical errors, such as missing articles ('in information age'), incorrect verb forms ('make them feeling lazy', 'it even make a young person to feel bad'), and punctuation errors. Complex structures often result in faulty grammar, which can cause some difficulty for the reader. The frequency and nature of these errors place the grammatical range and accuracy at a Band 5 level.
