Student answer (Band 5.5)

Theatres and Cinemas are one of the most important resources of entertainment for the people. Many of the people spend their weekends at cinemas in order to watch thier favourite movie.some peoples love to see the stage drama of their favourite stage actors. In this modern world every person has access of every movie and stage shows on their phones and laptops and they can watch all these movie without going to cinema but the cultural and economic point of view cinemas are still one of the important aspect in countrie's economy let discuss each arguments one by one.

In this digital age every person has smart phone and on that phone they can watch all movies and shows without even purchasing a ticket at cinema.this cost no money and also no need to travel they even watch these movies laying on their bed.But the main concern is Watching a movie on cinema has different experience as compare to watch movie online,For all 3d movies many peoples prefer cinema becuase of good experience of visuals also watching these 3d movies with 3d glases make the environment more enjoyable.Another important things the new movies are always first released on theatres and cinemas than after a month or 2 they will available in different online platforms.

The another argument is theatres and cinemas are still important both economically and culturally which is true.As you see there is alot of peoples earning from these places from ticker collector to waiter to security guard to cafe owner all are earning from the theatres and cinemas.Their career mostly depend on theatres and cinemas.Other than there is alot of stage actors who are performing live on theatres and these performances are bread and butter for them.Economically

the theatres and cinemas make a bold impact on society and country's economy also provide alot of job opportunities.

According to my opnion theatres and cinemas are very important in every society because its reflects our culture and also alot of peoples earning from these places.and also make a important role in economy of a country as it generates alot of revenue.Another important point every movie willl first released on cinemas than after some times its appears on different online platform so its better to watch your favourite movie as early as possible otherwise you will receive a spolier from your end

The final conclusion is in recent modern age theatres and cinemas are one of the importan part in socielty as well as ecnomy of country

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The student addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—the rise of digital entertainment and the enduring economic and cultural importance of physical cinemas—while also providing a clear personal opinion. Ideas are generally relevant, such as mentioning the lower cost of online viewing versus the community and job-creation aspects of theatres. However, some arguments lack deep extension, and certain points are repetitive. For instance, the economic benefits are mentioned multiple times without introducing new dimensions. The position is maintained throughout, though development is somewhat restricted by generalisations and basic explanations. This performance aligns well with Band 6.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The response shows a coherent overall arrangement and attempts to organise ideas into paragraphs, addressing each prompt requirement systematically. However, cohesive devices are often mechanical, faulty, or missing altogether, and referencing is frequently unclear (e.g., abrupt transitions like 'The another argument is' and 'According to my opnion'). Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion within paragraphs suffers from run-on sentences and a lack of proper punctuation. While the logical progression can be followed, the structural flaws prevent it from reaching a higher band. This represents a solid Band 5.0 performance.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary range for the task, successfully using terms related to the topic such as 'entertainment', 'digital age', 'ticket collector', and 'revenue'. However, there are noticeable spelling errors ('thier', 'glases', 'countrie's', 'opnion', 'spolier') and word-form inaccuracies ('access of every movie', 'watching a movie on cinema'). The writer attempts some less common vocabulary items like 'cultural and economic point of view' and 'bread and butter', but inaccuracies in collocation and mechanics restrict the score to a Band 5.5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The text displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control over grammar and punctuation is weak. There are frequent punctuation errors, including missing spaces after commas and periods, run-on sentences, and missing capitalisation at the beginning of sentences (e.g., 'Many of the people', 'some peoples'). Subject-verb agreement issues ('every person have', 'peoples prefer') and tense inconsistencies also appear regularly. Although meaning is generally conveyed despite these errors, the high frequency of grammatical slips prevents the score from reaching Band 6.0.
