Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people think in this Digital age, theatres and cinemas are now getting out-dated and people are shifting to a more convinient mode of entertainment which is online,While some poeple say that eliminating theatres and cinemas would effect the society in both economical and cultural manner.I believe that theatres and cinemas are well integrated part of the society and online mode of entertainment can not surpass it.
In this digital age, everything in this world is on your fingertips, this is the reason people think that entertainment can be enjoyed from the comfort of their homes,All the movies, films or any sort of entertainment is already availabel online, there is no need to go to theatres and cinemas now when everything is in the devices you already own.But still theatres and cinemas provide a environment that nobody can find in there own house.
Some people think that theatres and cinemas are still important economically and culturally,I completely agree with them as theatres and cinemas have been integrated into the society spreading clutural awareness all around the world while entertaning the audience since decade's. A lot of people are earning there money by this industry and cutting past them would cause unemployement for thousands of people.
The audience is also getting a better experience in the theatres and cinemas as they get to see there loved actor's live or on a big screen with a great audio and seating arrangement, all this with the right environment is the key to have a great experience.
In today's date, everything is avalable online and people choose to consume their entertainment online rather than going to the theatres and cinemas which provide's them a complete experience of the act or movie.Where i believe that theatres and cinemas could never be thrown out of the society because of it's economical and cultural importance.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—that theatres and cinemas are outdated due to online streaming, and that they remain economically and culturally important—while also providing a clear personal opinion. The writer's position is consistent throughout the essay, particularly in the introduction and conclusion. However, the development of ideas tends to be slightly repetitive and somewhat general, lacking deeper specific examples. For instance, the mention of people earning money in the industry or spreading cultural awareness is stated without much elaboration. Nevertheless, the core requirements of the task prompt are fulfilled adequately, placing this response solidly in the mid-range of task achievement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is divided into logical paragraphs, with an introduction, body paragraphs addressing the opposing views and personal stance, and a conclusion. However, the flow is hampered by frequent punctuation errors, such as comma splices (e.g., 'fingertips, this is the reason') and run-on sentences. Cohesive devices are used, but sometimes mechanically or inappropriately (e.g., 'cutting past them' instead of 'cutting them out'). Referencing is occasionally unclear, and paragraph transitions could be smoother. While there is a clear overarching structure and the progression of ideas is generally understandable, the cohesive faults keep the score at a competent level rather than a higher one.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully communicating ideas related to technology, entertainment, and employment. There are several attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'convinient' (spelled incorrectly as 'convinient'), 'out-dated', and 'surpass'. However, there are notable spelling errors ('availabel', 'clutural', 'avalable', 'environment' spelled correctly later but inconsistently), word choice issues ('earning there money', 'actor's'), and apostrophe misuse. These errors do not impede overall communication, but the frequency of lexical and spelling inaccuracies prevents the essay from reaching a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some variety in structure. However, grammatical accuracy is weak due to frequent punctuation errors, run-on sentences, and faulty subordination. Examples include comma splices like 'online,While some poeple say...' and agreement or tense issues. While some simple sentences are error-free and the meaning is generally clear, control over complex grammar is inconsistent. Punctuation errors are pervasive throughout the text, significantly lowering the overall grammatical profile.
