Student answer (Band 5.0)
Theatres and cinemas have become a part of our lives. These are found in every home and in the life of every person.some people say that in the present age, cinemas and theatres are no longer important because people can watch everything online which they want to watch.Other people say that these are still important as source of income and memory of our culture.
I shall discuss both views and I shall give my opinion.
Today, the world has become very advanced.Every person have their own mobile phone ane they are interested in spending their leisure time on mobile phone. They do not prefer to go to theatre sites or cinemas because they have facilities to watch these things on internet.People think that they would not be able to spend money or tolerate the trasport expenses.Theatres and cinemas have spreaded in the whole world. These have become mixed in bloods of people. So,people spend their leisure time on internet in watching cinemas and theatres for the sort of joy and happiness and also to fresh their minds. On the other hand, some people say that theatres and cinemas are important both economically and cultury.People are still interested in making cinemas and theatres because they consider these things as source of income and remember these as their culture.People are more interested in making videos and designing cinema halls because people enter in these by paying fee of tickets.People consider these things as source of income. Some people consider these as memory of their culture. They have special aptitude to celebrate these things.
In conclusion, I strongly support both views because both views are most important according to my mind.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views—that online entertainment replaces physical theatres/cinemas, and that they remain economically and culturally important—while also providing an opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited and somewhat repetitive. For example, the argument regarding economic importance simply restates that people consider cinemas as a 'source of income' without introducing deeper examples or nuanced analysis. The student's own opinion is somewhat undeveloped, stated vaguely in the conclusion that 'both views are most important.' Consequently, the task response falls into the Band 5 category because the ideas are somewhat thin, repetitive, and lack full extension.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay displays some basic organization, separating the introduction, body points, and conclusion into paragraphs, though the paragraphing is underdeveloped (e.g., body paragraphs are overly clumped and lack clear structural signposting). Cohesive devices are used minimally and repetitively, such as 'On the other hand' and 'In conclusion'. There are mechanical transitions, and referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the pronoun use in 'These have become mixed in bloods of people'. While the general direction of the text can be followed, the lack of smooth progression and flexible cohesive control places this response solidly at Band 5.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The lexical range is limited and repetitive. The student relies heavily on basic vocabulary such as 'people', 'important', 'things', and 'internet'. There are awkward lexical choices and unnatural collocations that detract from the writing, such as 'spreaded', 'mixed in bloods of people', and 'fresh their minds'. Spelling and word formation errors also appear, such as 'cultury' instead of culturally and 'trasport' instead of transport. Although the meaning can mostly be deciphered, the frequency of noticeable lexical errors and the restricted vocabulary range warrant a Band 5 score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response features a very limited range of grammatical structures, consisting mostly of simple and straightforward compound sentences. Attempts at more complex structures are frequently faulty, such as subject-verb agreement errors ('Every person have their own mobile phone') and awkward phrasing. Punctuation and capitalization errors are also present across the text, such as missing spaces after commas ('Today, the world') and uncapitalized sentence starts ('some people say'). Frequent grammatical and mechanical errors cause occasional difficulty for the reader, aligning the grammar profile with Band 5 descriptors.
