Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response is severely under length, containing only 128 words compared to the required minimum of 250 words. This results in a significant under-development of the task. Although the student attempts to introduce both views ('Some people believe that traditional theatres... Other part argue...') and states their intention to discuss them, the essay breaks off abruptly mid-sentence ('if people want to go') and fails to complete the discussion or present a personal opinion. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed with minimal development, aligning with Band 4.0 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0
The text demonstrates some organisational structure by attempting an introduction ('To commence with') and paragraphing, but the overall progression breaks down quickly due to the incomplete nature of the writing. Cohesive devices are minimal and sometimes inaccurate, such as 'Other part argue' instead of 'Others argue' and 'in online' instead of 'online'. Referencing and logical flow become confused, and the abrupt ending prevents any sense of a cohesive whole. This matches the characteristics of Band 4.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.0
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, such as 'people can watch all the entertainment they want' and 'very convenience'. There are noticeable word choice and collocation errors, including 'life style' instead of 'lifestyle', 'for economically and culturally' instead of 'economically and culturally', and 'in online' instead of 'online'. The range is limited and minimally adequate for basic communication, but the numerous lexical inaccuracies place it firmly at Band 4.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The writing shows a very limited range of sentence structures, mostly relying on simple sentences with frequent grammatical errors. Examples include 'people are improving their life style', 'Other part argue that these theatres and cinemas are still important for economically and culturally', and 'It can also be save money'. Errors are frequent and occasionally strain the reader's understanding, particularly with verb forms and preposition usage. This corresponds to a Band 4.0 grammar score.
