Student answer (Band 4.5)
Many people argue that, nowadays in modern time there are no value for thearter and cinemas because they do not want to weast their time. However, i belived that, it still have benifits because it can gave us opportunites to illustrate our nation traditional.
One of the reason that, individuals were too much bussy in their daily life they even do not have a time to spend with their family and have a special movement like watching movie in cinemas or watching drama in theaters. Moreover, in this situation they prefer to watch move in netflix and have a fun without going outside. By contrast, people's feel more connected with modern technology so they more convenient and feel eassy to watch everything's from online through YouTube, website and other platforms.
Another essential reason is that, there are several reason to watch from cinemas and theaters due to the fact that theaters can preserved our traditioal dance performance and acting also tourist can know our culture and history throw the performance. Furthermore, it is more cheaper than online websites. People can have a fun while eating popcorn and enjoy the movement. In contrast, through the cinemas we can show our movie to tourist people and make them more intrest in our culture and traditional.
In conclusion, both point of view are valid but many people consider that, they feel relax and more confortable while watching from home. Nevertheless, i would argue that we should not let them to disappear from our country.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The student attempts to address all parts of the task by discussing both views on cinemas and theatres—the digital alternative versus economic and cultural importance—and provides a personal opinion in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is limited and at times repetitive. For instance, the argument regarding cultural preservation is mentioned in the third paragraph ('theaters can preserved our traditioal dance performance') but lacks deep elaboration or strong supporting examples. The student's position is discernible, but the overall presentation is somewhat constrained by basic reasoning and undeveloped arguments. This aligns best with the Band 5 descriptors, where the task is addressed, but ideas remain limited and under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into four paragraphs, following a standard introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the overall progression lacks smooth transitions and logical flow. Cohesive devices are used awkwardly or inaccurately, such as starting multiple sentences and paragraphs with 'Moreover', 'By contrast', and 'In contrast', which sometimes contradict the intended logical relationship. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, such as the pronoun 'them' in the concluding sentence ('we should not let them to disappear'). Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion is frequently faulty and mechanical. This performance is characteristic of Band 5.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.5
The student uses a limited vocabulary range that is minimally adequate for the task. There are numerous noticeable word choice, collocation, and spelling errors, such as 'thearter', 'weast', 'belived', 'benifits', 'gave', 'traditional' instead of 'traditions', 'bussy', 'move', 'eassy', 'cheaper' (instead of 'cheaper than' used confusingly with 'more'), and 'intrest'. These errors often make the reading experience difficult and demonstrate a lack of control over less common lexical items. The vocabulary control is weak, making Band 4 descriptors largely applicable, though the range covers enough ground for a basic attempt at Band 5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The writing exhibits a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying mostly on simple sentences with frequent attempts at complex structures that are consistently faulty. There are persistent errors in subject-verb agreement, tense usage, and prepositions throughout the text, such as 'there are no value', 'it still have benifits', 'individuals were too much bussy', and 'tourist people and make them more intrest'. Punctuation errors are also frequent, including unnecessary commas. These numerous errors cause significant difficulty for the reader and distort meaning in places, placing the text firmly at Band 4.
