Student answer (Band 5.0)
There is an on going debate for the interest of the individuals in entertainment platforms.
some people argue that theatres and cinemas does not play a vital role in today's era because of the digital world. Although, for many citizens cinemas and theatres still plays a siginficant role for their entertainment. I partically agree with the statement, as entertainment platforms plays a major role to unwind ourself. Moreover, it has numerous benefits which outweigh drawbacks.
Digital screening has became go to process of ones life, moreover, we can use different websites for tv shows and webseries. one of the fascinating thing about online shows is that we can watch them as per our requirements and freedom to watch as per our mood. Citizens has to commute from one place to other as a result, this will increase the traffic cognition.
On the other hand, going to theatres and cinemas will increase the ecomony of the country. Moreover, people can commuicate with other members in the hall which will also enhance their communication skills and boost the confidence of the people. government can make money with the sale of tickets that will increase the GDP( Gross Domestic Product).
people can also take fresh air because of the outdoor planning and also enjoy the tradition of cinemas.
In conclusion, I believe that theatres and cinemas plays a significant role in the cultural and economy of the country. however, digital screening also provide numerous benefits.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both views regarding the relevance of theatres and cinemas in the digital age and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the word count is 242 words, which falls short of the mandatory 250-word minimum requirement. This negative constraint violation directly impacts the Task Achievement score. Furthermore, some ideas, such as the mention of fresh air and traffic cognition, are under-developed or tangential. While the writer attempts to support points regarding the economy and communication, the lack of sufficient length and minor logical gaps prevent the response from achieving a higher band. Ideas are present but require more thorough extension and support.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay displays some overall organization and attempts to use paragraphing, dividing the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. However, cohesion is frequently faulty and mechanical. For instance, transitional phrases like 'Moreover' are overused and sometimes misused at the start of multiple sentences. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and logical progression within paragraphs is disrupted by abrupt shifts in ideas, such as moving from streaming benefits directly to traffic congestion. Paragraphing is also poorly executed, with some sentences lacking proper separation and cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, but range and precision are limited. The student attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'digital screening' and 'fascinating', but suffers from frequent word choice and collocation inaccuracies, including 'on going' instead of 'ongoing', 'traffic cognition' instead of 'traffic congestion', and 'ecomony' instead of 'economy'. Spelling errors and incorrect word forms like 'partically' instead of 'partially' appear throughout the text. These errors do not entirely impede communication, placing the response solidly in the band 5 range for lexical resource.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The text contains a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but grammatical accuracy is weak. There are frequent basic errors in subject-verb agreement and punctuation, such as 'theatres and cinemas does not play' instead of 'do not play', 'entertainment platforms plays' instead of 'play', and 'Citizens has' instead of 'Citizens have'. Capitalization and article usage are also inconsistent ('government can make money', 'Gross Domestic Product'). Attempts at complex structures often result in faulty punctuation and run-on sentences, causing occasional difficulty for the reader.
