Student answer (Band 5.5)
Threatres and cinemas are still essential for both economically and culturally; thoughts of some people. While some think in this modern and digital age internet access is enough for entertainment like movies and stage dramas. In my opinion, Theatres and cinemas are vital culturally as well as for economy.
Some years majority of people enjoyed to watch movies in cinemas and stage shows in theatres which was increasing the industrie's revenue and supporting economy of country. Furthermore, it was also promoting cultures of society in theatres. Many plays was related to fun, old stories, famous personalities, well-established business owners, martyrs etc which created vision in youth, many of the children of age between eight to fifteen was enjoying it very much. But online entertainment ruined it which also effected economy of nation caused unemployments in industry and other stock market loss.
As the internet became easy to access, the entertainment industry specially theatres experienced huge decrese in number of their viewers. Now a days, every person have online movie platform subscriptions like Netflix, amazon etc are provinding movies, plays, documentries, fun, magic shows etc all-in-one. Moreover, People have home theatres in there houses and this is saving there money and time but losses cultural values. From small screen devices like mobile phones to huge screen people can watch anything with the connection of internet. In results, the youth has the feeling of being alone and introverts.
In my view, the theatres and cinemas both are still important and recommeded to remember nations culture and supporting economy. The state should promotes the theatres and cinemas trend in youth my taking them to advance modernizations like 3D or 4D visuals in cinemas.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—that theatres and cinemas are no longer important due to online entertainment, and that they remain economically and culturally vital—while also providing a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the discussion on economic impact relies on general assertions without robust examples, stating that online entertainment caused 'unemployments in industry and other stock market loss.' The argument regarding cultural value is present, but the support lacks depth and clarity, resulting in an overall coverage that aligns best with Band 6.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt at paragraphing, separating the introduction, the two body paragraphs discussing different perspectives, and the conclusion. However, cohesion is frequently faulty or mechanical. Some transition signals and cohesive devices are misused or awkward, such as starting sentences abruptly or using linking words incorrectly (e.g., 'As the internet became easy to access' and 'In results'). Referencing is occasionally unclear, and logical progression within paragraphs stumbles due to abrupt shifts in ideas, placing this performance at Band 5.5.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully incorporating terms like 'entertainment industry,' 'documentries,' and 'modernizations.' However, there are noticeable spelling errors ('Threatres' for theatres, 'industrie's', 'decrese', 'provinding', 'recommeded', 'promotes') and inaccurate word choices or collocations, such as 'supporting economy of country' instead of 'supporting the country's economy' and 'losses cultural values' instead of 'loses cultural values.' These limitations mean the lexical control sits securely in the Band 5 range.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, though attempts at complex structures are often faulty. There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('Many plays was related', 'every person have', 'the theatres and cinemas both are still important'), missing articles ('supporting economy', 'with the connection of internet'), and tense inconsistencies. These errors occasionally cause some difficulty for the reader and prevent the response from achieving a higher score, making Band 5.0 an accurate reflection of grammatical control.
