With the technological advancements, nowadays every task is gradually shifting towards the online mode. With this, theatres and cinemas are at the verge of ending because plenty of movies and series are easily accessible online at various platforms. However, there are audience that support the idea of cinema hall even in today's digital world.
Due to the fast paced world, and a generation which is armed with technological resources, it is effortlessly easy to spot numerous platforms and websites which provide the customer with a wide range of options to select the movie according to their taste. Another major highlight in this shift is that, people are more comfortable in their home as compared to the halls they go to entertain themselves because they are not in need to socialize or interact with other personalities.
On the other hand, handful of people argue that movie hall plays a significant role in our life. There are plethora of reasons such as whenever we go outside with our loved ones, long lasting memories are created which is remembered at the lowest moment of our life. Not only this, but also we are able to communicate with a lot of individual which strenghtens our communication skills. Apart from this, economically our country grows well which is vital for the nation building.
In the conclusion, i am of the opinion that visiting to public halls once in a month is beneficial for the film-makers and for our country too. Going out to entertain ourselves creates another ambience which can not be felt at our home. Therefore, instead of sitting at our place which offers us plenty of options to watch, we must explore the beauty of the outer world.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the decline of theatres in the digital age and their ongoing economic and cultural importance, while also presenting a clear personal opinion in the conclusion. For example, the writer outlines how 'movies and series are easily accessible online' while countering this with the economic and social benefits of visiting cinema halls. However, some ideas are slightly under-developed or briefly stated, such as the general reference to 'nation building' without specific elaboration. The position remains consistent throughout the essay, meeting the main criteria for a Band 6.5 to 7.0, ultimately fitting comfortably into Band 6.0 due to the limited extension of supporting examples.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear paragraphing structure, moving logically from an introduction to body paragraphs discussing each view, and ending with a conclusion. Cohesive devices are employed, such as 'However', 'Another major highlight', 'On the other hand', and 'In the conclusion'. Nevertheless, some referencing and cohesive links are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'With this, theatres and cinemas are at the verge of ending'. Additionally, referencing within paragraphs occasionally lacks smooth flow, leading to minor disruptions in progression. Overall, the logical organization is clear enough to satisfy Band 6 criteria.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The student attempts a range of vocabulary suitable for the task, including items like 'technological advancements', 'effortlessly easy', 'plethora of reasons', and 'film-makers'. However, there are noticeable word choice and collocation inaccuracies throughout the text. For instance, writing 'theatres and cinemas are at the verge of ending' instead of 'on the verge of extinction', and using 'individual' instead of the plural 'individuals'. Phrases like 'lowest moment' and 'communicating with a lot of individual' also show limited precision. While the vocabulary is adequate to communicate the main ideas, these frequent lexical inaccuracies keep the score at Band 6.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The response demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as conditional or dependent clauses ('whenever we go outside with our loved ones...'). However, there are several grammatical errors and awkward structures. Examples include 'visiting to public halls' (unnecessary preposition), 'people are more comfortable in their home as compared to the halls they go to entertain themselves', 'which is remembered' (agreement error with the antecedent 'memories'), and 'strenghtens' (spelling and agreement slip). Punctuation and articles also contain occasional minor errors. Because errors are frequent but rarely impede overall communication, the performance aligns with Band 6.0.
