Student answer (Band 5.0)
People have differing views about the significance of threaters and cinemas in the present age of technology. While some argues there is no need of threatersor cinemas as we have access to online version of everything. In my opnion, the facilities are still paramount important for people and economy.
On the other hand , people can watch any content or anything on internet without spending alot of money and without going anywhere.
First of all, people like to watch movies any thing which can't be possible in cinemas or threators. Everyone have different choice so they feel easy to watch on internat laying in their rooms, secondly , everyone cannot afford the costly tickets of cinemas. so, they feel watching content in home budget friendly because it is free of cost .
I, however, argue that threaters and cinemas has a significant part in term of environment and economical benefit. when people watch movies on big screen they feel like that they are the part of the movie. and enjoy the performance done by thr real actors in the play. which is impossible to do on mobiles and computers. On top of that, public threater can bring the money is spent on public needs , new roads and development is done by these funds .
In conclusion, Threaters and cinemas can be referred as non useful places due to online sources and internet . but, i believe that use of them would gives us alot of advantage to both people and society.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views—the decline of physical cinemas in the digital age versus their continued economic and cultural importance—and provides a clear personal opinion. The writer's position is presented in the introduction and reinforced in the conclusion. However, the ideas are somewhat limited and under-developed, relying on repetitive arguments about cost and convenience without deep extension. For instance, the economic argument is briefly touched upon by stating that public theatres bring money for roads and development, but this idea lacks elaboration. While the task is adequately addressed, the overall depth aligns best with Band 6.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement and attempts to use a paragraph structure, separating the opposing view, the writer's arguments, and the conclusion. However, cohesion is frequently faulty and mechanical. There are noticeable issues with punctuation and sentence boundary errors, such as starting sentences with lowercase letters or splitting dependent clauses incorrectly. Furthermore, referencing is not always clear, and transitional phrases are sometimes used awkwardly or inaccurately, such as the abrupt shift in 'I, however, argue that...'. Paragraphing is also slightly confused by placing multiple distinct thoughts into overly dense or disjointed blocks. These structural weaknesses place the response at Band 5.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully communicating everyday ideas related to technology and entertainment. However, there are frequent spelling errors, such as repeatedly misspelling 'theatres' as 'threaters' and 'internet' as 'internat', alongside word choice inaccuracies like 'paramount important' instead of 'paramount importance' and 'non useful' instead of 'obsolete' or 'redundant'. While the writer attempts less common vocabulary, the noticeable errors and restricted flexibility prevent the response from reaching a higher band. The lexical control is indicative of a Band 5 performance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay exhibits a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but the grammatical control is weak. There are frequent errors in basic sentence structures, subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Everyone have different choice', 'threaters and cinemas has'), and punctuation. Many complex sentences are faulty, containing run-on structures or sentence fragments (e.g., 'so, they feel watching content in home budget friendly because it is free of cost'). Although the meaning can generally be discerned despite these numerous errors, the high frequency of grammatical slips prevents the text from achieving a Band 6, placing it firmly at Band 5.
