Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some people say that in the modern age, theatres and cinemas are no longer crucial as individuals can watch all the entertainment they want online. Others argue that theatres and cinemas are still vital both economically and culturally. I will discuss both views in detail.
Many citizens believe that in the digital age, theatres and cinemas are no longer important because everything regarding to entertainment is now available online and we can access it very easily with a little effort. All the movies or programs which are being watched by people in theatres are now also available on different platforms online, such as on Youtube or on amazon. The one another reason is that today's life is very busy and many people have no time anymore to go to the theatres and cinemas, so they can watch entertainment online when they are free time.
Others argue that theatres and cinemas are still important both economically and culturally due to the fact that in many countries it is still a part of culture to watch entertaining stuff by going to the theatres and cinemas, such as in the USA individuals consider it an important activity of weekend. Those places of the world where cultural activities are more crucial than innovation theatres and cinemas take advantages there. In the following days holywood and bolywood still charge huge amount for films. In this way, the economy of that particular country grows speedily. Another way is that individuals buy tickets for watching movies or dramas. For example, India's economy has now been grew to the higher level only because of hindi bolywood movies.
To conclude, modern technology take place of many theatres and cinemas by developing new facilities for people but entertainment places are still crucial for rapid economic growth. Innovation might take place of many theaters with the passage of time because of convenient access for many individuals.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response successfully addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views on the relevance of theatres and cinemas in the digital age and clearly stating an opinion in the introduction and conclusion. Ideas are relevant, noting online streaming alternatives, economic contributions, and cultural habits. However, some ideas lack deep extension or contain sweeping generalizations, such as the claim about Hollywood and Bollywood in the coming days. The support provided relies on somewhat repetitive phrasing rather than robust, varied examples. Nevertheless, the position remains clear throughout the essay, placing it comfortably in Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear paragraph structure, featuring a distinct introduction, body paragraphs for each view, and a conclusion. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical. Phrasing such as 'The one another reason' and 'In the following days' creates awkward transitions. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and logical progression between sentences within body paragraphs stumbles due to repetitive sentence starters. Paragraphing is used sufficiently, but the management of cohesive devices lacks flexibility. These features align closely with Band 6.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully using terms like 'digital age', 'entertainment', 'economically', and 'cultural activities'. There are clear attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'innovation', 'speedily', and 'convenient access'. However, lexical control is inconsistent. There are noticeable word choice and spelling errors, such as 'holywood', 'bolywood', and the phrase 'has now been grew'. Vocabulary limitations and occasional inaccuracies restrict the score to Band 5.5, as communication is sometimes slightly hindered by these lexical slips.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing relative clauses and subordinate structures like 'because everything regarding to entertainment is now available online'. Control over grammar is variable. There are frequent grammatical errors, including preposition misuse ('regarding to'), article omission, and tense/form errors ('has now been grew', 'modern technology take place'). While these errors do not completely obscure meaning, they occur regularly and prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. A score of 5.5 accurately reflects this mix of structures and persistent inaccuracies.
