Student answer (Band 4.5)

These days people says that, in the current time period cinemas and theaters are old facsion and they watched all programs online. While other society membors still sppoerts theaters and cinemas. In this eassy we discuss both opinon.

On the one hand, individuals are not intrested in cinemas and theatres. They use internet and watch all intertainment programs through the online apps. For instance, youtube, tiktok, netflix and other many digital apps. Due to busy life society have no more free time going to cinemas and theatres. On the weekends people preffer to stay at home and spend their free time with their family and enjoying peograms on TV.

On the other hand, more and more individuals of society did not copaire their thought with others. They think that theatres and cinemas are still important for economically growth. Sach as, when intertainment industry releasd new movie they did not play direct on internet. They use cinemas to display their picture and make a lot or money. And people buy tickets and watch movies and also enjoying alot.

In my point of view, I will go with both point of views because watching movies in cinemas is a very enjoyable experience and wacthing drams on the theatre is also good. Actors and actress perform in the front of you is a very special movement. On the second opinion i agree with that point, people use internet for their deaily use and also watch all intertainment on the mobile phone.

However, both cases are important for society and enjoyable factors.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response attempts to address all parts of the prompt by discussing both views—that cinemas are obsolete due to online viewing, and that they remain economically and culturally important—as well as providing the writer's own opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited and sometimes superficial. For instance, the discussion on economic growth mentions that intertainment industry releasd new movie they did not play direct on internet, but this point remains under-developed. The writer's position is stated, but the explanation in the conclusion is repetitive. Because the ideas are presented rather simply and lack full extension, the response fits best at Band 5.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The text is organized into paragraphs, attempting to follow a standard essay structure with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted by mechanical and faulty transitions, such as starting paragraphs with abrupt phrases like On the one hand and On the other hand without proper continuity. Referencing and cohesive devices are often inadequate or inaccurate, as seen in expressions like On the second opinion i agree with that point. Paragraphing is present, but overall cohesion is weak, leading to a Band 5 score.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, with frequent spelling and word-choice errors that strain the reader. Examples include old facsion instead of old-fashioned, membors instead of members, sppoerts instead of supports, eassy instead of essay, intrested instead of interested, and copaire instead of compare. While the writer attempts some topic-related vocabulary like intertainment industry and economic growth, noticeable errors in spelling and collocation place this firmly in the Band 4 category.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The writer uses a very limited range of structures, relying mostly on simple sentences with frequent grammatical and punctuation errors. Examples of basic errors include These days people says, society have no more free time going, and Actors and actress perform in the front of you is a very special movement. Attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty, leading to frequent errors that cause difficulty for the reader and obscure meaning in places. This corresponds to a Band 4 level.
