Student answer (Band 5.0)
As we know we are living in the modern era so everything is more digitalized and well advanced. People use social media to watch content and others stuff. Movies are being made and produced for the OTT platforms like Netflix, Youtube, Prime Video. People love to watch on these platforms because this medium is more convinient for them. They can get access to desire content anytime according to their ease. however if we compare this theater and cinemas so
theather and cinemas are aslo still the crucial part of any countriy's economy beacause revenue that the box office gives is more than the OTT platforms because there are different parts that play a major role in the economy growth through the cinema as different billboards are being displayed for their advertisings in which the investers and include. Recently the film that was re-launched by the bollywood got big amount of money as it was being played in the Indian cinemas on the other hand if we compare both of the mediums so both have their own targeded audience because the people who are passioniate about cinema and theater still goes to the cinema and watch their favorite movies there because they have another level of excitement and keep their spirit alive.
In conlsion, we can say that theaters and cinemas are the source of income of any country but it's depent on the people of that countrry are still comfortable for visiting cinema or not.
so this is all the things we can compare.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the rise of online streaming and the economic and cultural importance of physical cinemas, while also providing a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas remains somewhat superficial. For example, the economic argument regarding billboards and investors is vaguely explained ('different billboards are being displayed for their advertisings in which the investers and include'). Furthermore, the conclusion is weak and repetitive, failing to fully solidify the writer's final stance. While the prompt's requirements are met in terms of content coverage, the arguments would benefit from greater depth, clearer examples, and stronger extension to reach a higher band. Overall, the performance aligns with the Band 5.5 to 6.0 descriptors, showing relevant ideas that remain under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay displays severe issues with paragraphing and overall logical progression. The entire body of the essay is compressed into a single, excessively long and winding paragraph, followed by a fragmented, unpolished conclusion that spans multiple lines with abrupt breaks ('so this is all the things we can compare'). Cohesive devices are either missing or used incorrectly, such as the awkward transition 'however if we compare this theater and cinemas so theather and cinemas are aslo still'. Referencing and linking between ideas are frequently confusing, making it difficult for the reader to follow the logical flow smoothly. Paragraphing is not used sufficiently or appropriately, which pulls the score down into the Band 5 range, as there is no clear overall progression between distinct units of thought.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The lexical resource used in the response is limited and repetitive. The writer relies heavily on basic vocabulary such as 'movies', 'platforms', 'watch', and 'people'. There are frequent word choice and spelling errors throughout the text, including 'convinient', 'desire' instead of desired, 'countriy's', 'beacause', 'investers', and 'passioniate'. While the writer attempts some less common terms like 'digitalized', 'economical', and 'targeted audience', these are often marred by inaccurate forms or awkward collocations. The range is minimally adequate for the task, but frequent inaccuracies in spelling and word choice cause some difficulty for the reader, placing the response squarely at Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response exhibits a very limited range of grammatical structures, consisting primarily of long, run-on sentences joined by coordinating conjunctions and conversational fillers (e.g., 'As we know we are living in the modern era so everything is more digitalized...'). There is an absence of well-controlled complex structures. Grammatical accuracy is low, with frequent errors including subject-verb agreement issues, missing articles, incorrect prepositions, and poor punctuation. For instance, the final sentence 'so this is all the things we can compare' is ungrammatical and reads like spoken rather than written English. Because errors are frequent and cause noticeable difficulty for the reader, the writing matches the Band 5 descriptor.
