Student answer (Band 5.0)
A number of people have opinion that this is a digital era and everything is available with only one click. Theatres and cinemas are not necessary and everyone can enjoy themselves watching online. While others aruge that theatres and cinemas still have significance both economically and culturally. Maybe they think live performance has its own experience.
First and foremost, individuals who think that theatres and cinemas are no longer needed may be they think that consuming entertainment online can contribute to save time and energy. As first, we will try to buy a ticket and than make a queue and wait for when a show will start. Consequently, it can take a long time and also much energy is required. On the other hand, it also requires money to watch a live show. So, watching a performance online is a more suitable
idea. For instance, people first struggle to buy a ticket and than go to watch a drama. Most often people go by public transport afterwards, they will be able to watch a drama. Consequently, it can also take almost their full day.
However, people who prefer to watch a live drama, they think it has its own amazing experience. As it greatly contributes in circulating money. People spend money on buying tickets etc. As a result, government makes revenue and it also creates many jobs opportunities. Moreover, we can go with our family and friends in resulting it can give us a plenty to time to spend with them. It provides a chance to strengthen our bonds and relations with our loved ones. For example, families or friends often go to cinemas on weekends and in this way they can do a get together.
To conclude, both type of people have their own views. Some type of people want to save them from any kind of hustel and prefer to watch laying on their bed while other type of people want to go outside and like to watch live performance.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—the advantages of online entertainment and the economic/cultural value of physical venues—and provides a personal opinion, albeit simplistic. The ideas are somewhat repetitious, particularly regarding the time and energy saved by watching online, as seen in expressions like "consuming entertainment online can contribute to save time and energy" and the subsequent paragraph discussing getting tickets. While the position is clear, the development of ideas is limited by weak supporting examples and circular reasoning. The discussion on economic impacts lacks depth, noting only that people spend money and governments make revenue. This performance aligns best with Band 5.0, as the task is addressed, but the ideas remain under-developed and lack extension.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The text is organized into four distinct paragraphs, including an introduction, two body paragraphs discussing each view, and a conclusion. However, overall progression is hindered by repetitive phrasing and inadequate or faulty cohesive devices. Words like "Consequently" and "As a result" are used frequently and sometimes awkwardly, such as in "in resulting it can give us a plenty to time." Referencing is also occasionally unclear, as seen in the phrase "both type of people have their own views." Paragraphing shows a clear structure, but the internal flow of ideas is frequently disrupted by mechanical transitions and abrupt shifts in sentences. This fits the Band 5.0 descriptor for coherence and cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and repetitive, which is characteristic of Band 5. The student frequently repeats common words such as "drama," "people," "watch," and "time." There are noticeable lexical errors and awkward word choices, such as "contribute to save time" instead of "help save time," "make a queue" instead of "queue" or "wait in line," and "hustel" instead of "hassle." Less common vocabulary items are attempted, but they are often inaccurate or unidiomatic, such as "job opportunities" spelled as "jobs opportunities." While the meaning is generally communicated, the lack of flexibility and lexical control restricts the score to a Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but attempts at complex structures are frequently faulty. Examples of grammatical errors include double subjects ("individuals who think that theatres and cinemas are no longer needed may be they think..."), incorrect verb tenses or infinitives ("contribute to save"), and preposition errors ("go with our family and friends in resulting it can give us"). Punctuation and article usage also contain frequent errors, such as missing articles ("a digital era" vs "digital era") and spelling mistakes like "aruge" and "than" instead of "then." Because errors are frequent and occasionally cause some difficulty for the reader, a Band 5.0 is appropriate.
