Student answer (Band 4.5)
People are nowdays do diffrent tyep of thing for entertainment , Some people say that in the digital age, theatres and cinemas are no longer important as people can watch all the entertainment they want online. Others argue that theatres and cinemas are still important both economically and culturally so i will discuss both view in upcoming paragraph and give my opinion.
one the one hand , people are belive now dyas all thing are available on internet so go out side for watch movie is a wast of time for example , we have netfliex and perime video for movie so go out side like going for cinemas is completly wast of time for people and in nowdays cinemas are not that much important also paying for tickets is very costly for people .
One the other hand , view onlile movies are good but , watch in cinemas have some benfit like in cinema movie has relase on time but in online paltform they will relase late , also watch movie in cinema has diffrent vibe , also you can watch with your friend and family ,moreover watch movie with eating popcoren is very amezing thing ,however some movies are very special so can only watch on cinema for example, recently released oddasy movie is watchnon imax cinema is very diffrent to compare watch online.
In my opinion, cinemas in nowdays are not as much imporatnt comperd to past because in we don't have any option but now we can watch movie at home .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The student addresses both views mentioned in the prompt regarding the importance of theatres and cinemas versus online streaming platforms. A personal opinion is also stated at the end, fulfilling all parts of the task requirements. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For example, the arguments regarding cinemas being a waste of time and money, or conversely providing a different 'vibe' with friends and family, are stated simply without deep extension or specific, well-articulated examples. The mention of 'oddasy movie' lacks sufficient elaboration. While the task is addressed, the overall depth aligns best with Band 5.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The response is divided into paragraphs, including an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, paragraphing is not used effectively or conventionally; the second body paragraph is a single, extremely long, run-on sentence. Cohesive devices are either missing or inaccurate, relying heavily on repetitive comma splices and conjunctions like 'also', 'so', and 'however'. For instance, the transition 'one the one hand , people are belive now dyas...' demonstrates faulty mechanical cohesion. There is a lack of clear progression, and referencing is often unclear. These features reflect Band 4 to Band 5 characteristics, leaning toward Band 4 due to the lack of proper sentence boundaries and structural flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.0
The student uses a very basic and repetitive vocabulary range, with frequent spelling errors such as 'nowdays', 'diffrent', 'tyep', 'wast', 'netfliex', 'perime', 'paltform', 'popcoren', 'amezing', 'oddasy', 'watchnon', 'comperd', and 'imporatnt'. Attempts to use less common vocabulary are unsuccessful due to severe errors in word form and choice, such as 'view onlile movies' instead of 'viewing online movies'. The vocabulary is minimally adequate to convey the basic message, but frequent errors strain the reader and restrict the score to Band 4.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
The grammatical range is extremely limited, consisting mostly of poorly constructed simple sentences joined incorrectly by commas. There is a complete absence of accurate complex structures. Punctuation is largely ignored or misused, with spaces placed before commas and periods throughout the text. Major grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('people are nowdays do', 'people are belive', 'watch movie in cinema has diffrent vibe'), occur in almost every sentence and frequently impede communication and meaning. This performance fits the Band 4 descriptor.
