Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people believed that theatres and cinema do not play a vital role nowadays they think that we can enjoy ourselves through the things that are available online. On the other hand , some people believed that cinema and theatres are essential for custom and tradition. From my opinions, I believed that Cinema and theatres play a vital role in progress of culture.
Firstly, people in some countries thought that it is a wastage of money to go in a cinema for watching a movie. This is because they said that if one thing is available online so why we spent our money on that thing , we should save this money rather than on theatres. For example, In Pakistan there is poverty. Therefore everyone cannot afford buy a ticket for cinema they always prefer watch a movie online if it is available.
Moreover , people think that it is time consuming to go in a cinema and theatre.
this is due to they said that if we consume our work time on such things so we cannot achieve our goals. For example, in India many people spend their time in cinemas which is not good for their nation and country.
on the opposite side, the opponent believed that cinemas and theatres both are crucial important for country and traditions. They think that it is very important for youth to go in a cinema for learning about their forefather culture. For instance , in China they always prefer cinema instead of online things this is because they think culture is more important than other things like social media.
Last but not least , cinema and theatres are also important for country economic progress. They give jobs to the people which is good impact for country.
From my experience and above discussion i strongly agreed that cinema , theatres and art has particular involvement in the growth of traditions as well as in economics of a country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The student addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—that theatres are no longer important due to online entertainment, and that they remain economically and culturally significant. The writer also provides a clear personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. However, the ideas are somewhat repetitive and lack deeper extension. For instance, the arguments regarding poverty in Pakistan and time consumption in India are quite basic and rely on general assertions rather than well-developed examples. While the position is clear throughout, the development of ideas aligns most closely with Band 6, where relevant points are presented but remain somewhat under-developed or simplistic in their overall execution.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay is divided into clear paragraphs, starting with an introduction, body paragraphs addressing each view, and a concluding paragraph. Cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Moreover', and 'Last but not least' are used to sequence ideas, although some of the referencing and transitions feel a bit mechanical. Paragraphing is attempted, but some paragraphs are very short and abrupt, disrupting the flow of the text. There are also occasional punctuation errors around commas and spaces, such as 'On the other hand ,', which detracts slightly from the overall presentation. Overall, the organization shows a coherent overall arrangement that fits the Band 6 descriptor.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'economic progress', 'poverty', and 'custom and tradition'. However, there are notable word choice and collocation errors throughout the text, such as 'wastage of money to go in a cinema', 'afford buy a ticket', and 'crucial important'. Additionally, spelling and word form errors occur, including 'believed' instead of 'believe' and 'forefather culture' instead of 'ancestral culture'. These inaccuracies indicate a limited range with noticeable errors, which places the vocabulary performance at a Band 5.5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing relative clauses and conditional structures. However, grammatical control is inconsistent, with frequent errors in tense consistency, subject-verb agreement, and prepositions. Examples include 'Some people believed that theatres and cinema do not play', 'if one thing is available online so why we spent our money', and 'everyone cannot afford buy'. Punctuation is also faulty in places, such as missing capital letters at the beginning of sentences ('on the opposite side', 'on the user'). Because errors occur frequently and occasionally impede smooth reading, this performance sits comfortably at a Band 5.0.
