Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some people say that in the digital age, theatres and cinemas are no longer important as people can watch all the entertainment they want online.Other argue that theatres and cinemas are still important economically and culturally. This both statement had dicus below.
Firstly, some says theatres and cinemas are no longer important as people can watch all the entertainment they want online.Yes they are true now we can watch anything from online it had made easy who had not time to see movie in cinemas hall. For them they did not need cinemas. From differnt webside like amzon prime, netfllix and jio hotstar we can see everything movies series drama.from watching at home we can save time.We can stay at home and watch it.For students also it helps they does not need to good out side to watch movies they can see by staying at home. They can save the travel time. For this peoples cinemas and theatres are no longer important they can get enterainment through online.
Secondly;Other argues that theatres and cinemas are still importany both economically and culturally.Yes they are also true cinemas and theaters are important beacause who are more intrested towards movie they like to go movie threatres to watch. If every one stay at home at watch through online it will harder to run the cinemas and theatres. If there will no one to watch will the the movie producers. So the movie theatres are still important for them.In the movie we can see the differnt culture and every can get to know about differnt culture. At the cinemas hall we can meet differnt culture people and we can get to know about that.So culturally also it is important.
In conclusion,in my opinion i think those people who does not like to good outside watch movie. Those who does not have lots of time. For them cinemas and are not important .they can see through online. But, who are much intrested towards the movie who want to see from hall for them theatres and cinemas important .After going there they can share their culture and they can get know different cultiure. If theatres run goodly it will profitable and it will economically good.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views on the importance of theatres and cinemas in the digital age and providing a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited and somewhat repetitive. For instance, the discussion on why cinemas are no longer important relies heavily on the repetition of the idea of saving time through online streaming services like Amazon Prime and Netflix. Similarly, the economic and cultural arguments in the second body paragraph lack deep exploration and concrete examples. While a clear position is maintained throughout the essay, the arguments tend to over-generalise. Consequently, the response aligns best with Band 5.5 descriptors, as the ideas are presented but remain underdeveloped.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay is organised into four paragraphs: an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the overall progression is hindered by poor paragraphing conventions, spacing errors after punctuation marks, and weak cohesive devices. For example, transitional phrases are overly simplistic, such as 'Firstly, some says' and 'Secondly;Other argues'. Referencing is also problematic, as seen in sentences like 'This both statement had dicus below' and 'For this peoples cinemas and theatres are no longer important'. Although there is an attempt to structure the response logically, the mechanical use of cohesive ties and lack of smooth transitions place this text firmly in the Band 5 category.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and repetitive, which impacts the overall precision of the writing. Basic terms such as 'important', 'watch', 'movies', and 'culture' are overused. There are numerous word choice and spelling errors throughout the text, including 'dicus' instead of discussed, 'differnt' instead of different, 'webside' instead of website, 'amzon' instead of Amazon, 'netfllix' instead of Netflix, and 'importany' instead of important. While the lexical range is minimally adequate to convey the basic meaning of the arguments, the frequency of noticeable spelling and lexical errors causes some difficulty for the reader, fitting the Band 5 descriptor.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay displays a very limited range of grammatical structures. Simple sentences dominate, and attempts at more complex structures are frequently faulty or ungrammatical, such as in 'If every one stay at home at watch through online it will harder to run the cinemas and theatres' and 'Those who does not have lots of time. For them cinemas and are not important.' There are pervasive errors in subject-verb agreement ('some says', 'students also it helps they does not need'), tense usage ('it had made easy', 'theatres run goodly'), and punctuation (missing spaces after commas and periods). These frequent errors cause considerable difficulty for the reader and restrict the score to Band 4.5, rounded to 5.0 for overall comprehensibility.
