Student answer (Band 6.0)

The peoples choose to whatch to cinemas in Online ott platfrom rather went to theatres. Its depend on people before the relase movies in online firstly streming in only theatres, Presntly people more aware about the any new content relase their near by site.

On the one hand, there are several reasons why people consider theatres and cinemas less necessary nowadays. First, online platforms provide convenient and affordable access to a wide variety of films, television programmes and other forms of entertainment. People can watch content whenever they want without travelling to a cinema or paying for expensive tickets. In addition, streaming services allow viewers to pause, replay and select programmes according to their personal preferences. For example, a student can watch a newly released series at home after completing their studies, rather than having to attend a cinema at a fixed time. Therefore, digital entertainment is particularly attractive because of its flexibility and convenience.

On the other hand, theatres and cinemas continue to offer experiences that cannot be completely replaced by online entertainment. Going to a cinema, for instance, provides a large screen, high-quality sound and a shared experience with other viewers. Similarly, live theatre allows audiences to see actors performing in real time, which creates a unique connection between performers and spectators. Furthermore, these venues contribute to local economies by providing employment for actors, technicians, hospitality workers and other staff. They also have cultural importance because theatres can preserve traditional forms of drama, music and storytelling and introduce audiences to different cultures.

In conclusion, People have to both choose to watch any movie they many platform provide their content. My opinion choose to visit on-site the would involve many activity through the thaetres.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views—the decline of physical cinemas due to digital streaming and their continued economic and cultural importance—while also providing an opinion. The main body paragraphs are well-formulated, with the second paragraph detailing the convenience of online platforms and the third explaining the sensory and cultural benefits of cinemas. However, the introduction and conclusion contain significant expression issues, particularly in the opening and closing sentences, which obscure the student's stance slightly. Nevertheless, the central arguments are relevant, extended, and supported with appropriate examples such as students watching series after studying. Overall, the task is successfully addressed to a Band 6.0 level.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay displays a clear overall logical arrangement with a traditional four-paragraph structure. The body paragraphs are introduced effectively with standard cohesive markers such as 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand,' guiding the reader smoothly between contrasting perspectives. Within the paragraphs, logical relationships are maintained using connectors like 'First,' 'In addition,' and 'Furthermore.' However, paragraphing and cohesion break down significantly in the introduction and conclusion, where abrupt shifts and disjointed phrasing occur (e.g., 'In conclusion, People have to both choose to watch any movie...'). Referencing is occasionally faulty, leading to a mechanical feel in places. This performance fits the Band 6 descriptor well.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully incorporating topic-related terminology such as 'streaming services,' 'flexible and convenience,' 'local economies,' and 'traditional forms of drama.' There are successful attempts to use less common vocabulary like 'spectators' and 'hospitality workers.' However, lexical control is undermined by noticeable errors in word choice, spelling, and form, particularly in the outer paragraphs (e.g., 'whatch,' 'relase,' 'streming,' 'thaetres'). While these errors do not completely impede communication because the core arguments in the body paragraphs remain clear, they prevent the score from reaching a higher band. This corresponds to a solid Band 6.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

The essay features a mix of simple and complex sentence forms. The writer successfully uses subordinate clauses and relative structures, such as 'which creates a unique connection between performers and spectators' and 'where people can watch all the entertainment they want online.' While the body paragraphs contain several error-free sentences, grammatical accuracy is noticeably weaker in the introduction and conclusion, featuring major structural issues like 'The peoples choose to whatch to cinemas' and 'My opinion choose to visit on-site the would involve many activity.' Punctuation and article usage are occasionally faulty. Because complex structures are attempted and communication is generally maintained despite the errors, a Band 6.0 is appropriate.
