Student answer (Band 5.0)
Society is divided into altruistic amd ecocentric mindsets od people. Although some masses hold the viewpoint that few individuals said that in the technological age, theatres and cinemas are no longer crucial as individual can see all the entertainment they want platform becauise it saves the time, I believe that latter statement holds more importance.
On the one hand, the main reason why some masses favour the former statement because of time saving moreover it reduces stress. This is due to the fact that people can not face problems like traffic jams or disturbance. They can enjoy the film or web series at our home without any distraction. They do not need to book tickets but there was only need to purchase a app for watching many films. For instance, a survey is conducted by family and welfare department has provided concrete evidence by highlightimg that 40% of people using online platforms. As a result, it gives fun and happy life.
On the other hand, I believe that the latter point of view supporters give the major reason of experiencing the theatre and cinema life. This means that we spent more time with family or friends. We could take discounts in theatres and take treatas like free of cost popcorn and drinks. It is not possible on the online platform. Another reason is build strong relationship. To elaborate, if people spend time with our friend or loving ones they can talk with each other spend much time together. They share our feelings in front of movies and relate the facts also.
To conclude, even though people support that first statement, I believe that latter statement is more valuable because of stronger relationship and improve critical thinking.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—that cinemas are obsolete due to online viewing and that they remain economically and culturally important—while also presenting a clear personal position. The ideas are generally relevant, but development is somewhat superficial and repetitive, particularly regarding the benefits of online viewing versus going out. For instance, the discussion on saving time and avoiding traffic is simplistic and lacks deep extension. Furthermore, the examples provided, such as the unsourced survey by the 'family and welfare department', are vague and lack specific detail. The conclusion attempts to introduce a new idea about 'improving critical thinking' which was not previously discussed in the body paragraphs. Overall, the response meets the criteria for Band 5.5 to 6.0, as it addresses the task adequately though ideas are under-developed in places.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay displays a basic overall structure with clear paragraphing, including a separate introduction, two body paragraphs representing opposing views, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are employed, such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'To conclude', but they are often used mechanically or inaccurately (e.g., 'the latter statement holds more importance' followed by confusing referencing). Paragraph progression is frequently hindered by awkward referencing, such as shifting pronouns confusingly ('They can enjoy the film or web series at our home'). The management of cohesive ties is faulty at times, leading to a choppy flow of ideas. These issues place the response firmly in the Band 5.0 range, as the organization is visible but progression lacks smoothness and clarity.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'altruistic', 'ecocentric', and 'technological age', but these are often used inappropriately in context (e.g., 'altruistic and ecocentric mindsets od people' at the very beginning of the essay). There are numerous word choice errors and typos throughout the text, including 'amd' instead of 'and', 'od' instead of 'of', 'becauise', 'highlightimg', and 'treatas'. Vocabulary is often repetitive, relying heavily on basic terms like 'films', 'entertainment', and 'time'. While the range is minimally adequate to convey basic meaning, the frequency of errors in spelling and word formation causes noticeable strain for the reader. This corresponds to a Band 5.0 level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but control is weak, leading to frequent grammatical errors. There are issues with subject-verb agreement, tense consistency, and article usage, such as 'few individuals said that', 'people can not face', 'there was only need to purchase a app', and 'if people spend time with our friend or loving ones they can talk with each other spend much time together'. Punctuation is also problematic, with run-on sentences and missing commas. Because complex structures are frequently faulty and errors cause difficulty for the reader, the grammar performance aligns with a Band 5.0.
