Student answer (Band 5.0)
These days, the era of theatres and cinemas are no longer substantial as they were in 1990s and early 2000s. One of the major reason is that, now we have ascess to all the movies and shows at our homes. In early times, most of the peoples don't have televisons and mobiles phones where they can watch movies and shows. But nowadays, everyone have ascess.
Moreover, people now are more likely to be an introvert and don't go out to much. but in early times, people love to go out spend time with their family and friends.
on the other side, some peoples still says that theatres and cinemas are important in various factors. Somehow they have some valid points too, like they says you got time to spend with your families and friends, you got your mind fresh and it's necessary in such a busy and stressful life.
As i said that my opinion, watching movies and shows at home will be more beneficial is due to some of the reasons which are:
you can spend time with your family and friends even at home by watching movies and shows on the T.V screen.
It will be economically beneficial too, as you don't need to spend money on travelling to cinema and theatres.
Its time saving too, you can save your time by not travelling and having fun at home.
If you are an introvert, you just don't need to go in noisy and public envirnoment, you can watch a movie by staying home and enjoys it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views—the decline of physical theatres versus their ongoing economic and cultural importance—and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the ideas are relatively basic and lack sufficient depth or specific examples to reach a higher band. For instance, the argument that people can watch movies at home is stated repeatedly without much extension. While the position is understandable throughout, the supporting points remain somewhat undeveloped, placing this performance at Band 5.5.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The text is organised into paragraphs, with an introduction, body viewpoints, and a conclusion. However, the paragraphing is irregular and fractured, particularly in the second half where single-sentence paragraphs are used for listing points. Cohesive devices are basic and repetitive, such as 'Moreover', 'on the other side', and 'As i said'. Logical progression is interrupted by disjointed structure and abrupt transitions between ideas. Referencing is sometimes unclear, yielding a Band 5.0.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is generally basic and repetitive, with several spelling and word-choice errors, such as 'ascess' instead of 'access', 'envirnoment' instead of 'environment', and the phrase 'don't go out to much' instead of 'too much'. While the writer attempts some less common words like 'substantial' and 'economically beneficial', inaccuracies in spelling and collocation restrict the range and precision. The lexical control is minimally adequate for the task, fitting the Band 5.0 descriptors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control over grammar is weak. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'the era of theatres and cinemas are', 'everyone have'), punctuation, and article usage. Capitalisation rules are also frequently ignored (e.g., starting sentences with lowercase 'on' or 'As i'). Although these errors do not completely obscure the overall meaning, their high frequency and persistence prevent the response from achieving a Band 6.0, resulting in a Band 5.0.
