Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some individual's point of view is that in this advance era, theatres and cinemas are not longer effective and interesting than the feature of watch movies online at homes. Some others debate about that cinemas and theatres are important for economic and culture
As in thoa modern and technological century, the innovation of watching online entertainment is very effective way. As everyone can enjoy their private time at homes and enjoy into themselves unless in cinemas where there are bunch of people. This online facility also provide less taxas and less payment than the theaters and cinemas.
There's a debate that cinemas and theatres are very effective for our economy and culture. As the fact of the matter is that if everyone use more of their phones and watch everything online than it will effect our economy because many businesses of cinemas and theatres will be flop. Moreover there will be a great effect on culture as people will emotionally and physically get separated from each other and start living in their own world. It will create distances in people. And in some cases, many individuals like to enjoy or watch entertainment with their fellows and colleagues. Because happiness came from emotional attachment with the people and a person can't live alone with technology all his life.
So the conclusion is that, in my point of view i think in this digital and advance age cinemas and theatres are important for individuals to enjoy with other people and entertainment the industry. So that the economy and culture don't get affected by the lack of interest in the rush areas like cinemas and public places.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing the view that digital platforms make cinemas obsolete and the counter-argument concerning economic and cultural importance, while also including a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the discussion on economic impact relies heavily on the assertion that businesses will 'flop' without much elaboration or specific examples. The position is stated, but the arguments lack depth and extension. This aligns with Band 5, where the task is addressed, but ideas remain underdeveloped.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the paragraphing and logical progression are weak. The second paragraph abruptly transitions into online entertainment without a clear topic sentence linking it to the first view. Cohesive devices are used awkwardly or repetitively, such as the frequent use of 'As' at the beginning of sentences (e.g., 'As in thoa modern...', 'As everyone can enjoy...'). Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the overall flow lacks smooth transitions between ideas, placing it firmly at a Band 5 level.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and contains noticeable errors that occasionally impede understanding or sound unnatural, such as 'advance era', 'feature of watch movies', 'less taxas', and 'rush areas'. Words are frequently misused, such as 'entertainment the industry' instead of 'entertainment industry'. While the writer attempts some less common phrasing, the frequent word-choice errors and spelling mistakes ('thoa', 'effect' instead of 'affect') restrict the score to a Band 4.5 or 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
There is a very limited range of grammatical structures, and attempts at complex sentences frequently result in serious structural errors and non-standard forms, such as 'theatres and cinemas are not longer effective and interesting than the feature of watch movies' and 'if everyone use more of their phones and watch everything online than it will effect our economy'. Errors in tense, subject-verb agreement, and prepositions are frequent and often cause difficulty for the reader, matching the Band 4 descriptor.
