Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this comtemporary world, all the inventions take place for the comfort and convenience of the people. A few individual argue that online platforms are more crucial for the entertainment purpose rather than cinemas and theatres, whereas opponents believe that they are indispensable for cultural and economical reasons. This essay will intend to discuss both views along with my prespective in enumerated paragraphs.
To commence with, there are several factors why theatres and cinemas are not much important. First and the foremost reaon is nowadays every person from youngsters to senior citizens have their own smart mobiles through which they have an easy access to entertainment. Because such modern mobiles provide all the essential services such as internet, camera and many more. Secondly, almost half of the online platform are free of charge which make it easy for poeple to watch comedy shows and movies in their comfort zone. Apart from this some of the internet websites are extremely cheaper than the threatre tickets and also masses can use them for one to two months without any obstacle.
On the flip side, there are numerous reasons why cinemas and theaters are still required. The main reason is the energatic atmosphere for the entertainment because in theatre and cinemas there are all the nesscary quipments to present the movie or show in an interesting way. Moreover, such theatres also pay a significant amount of money in taxes to the government. this money is used in the development of the country. In addition, when people buy tickets for the movie it covers the expenditure cost of the which can promote other directors to make new movies and shows frequently.
In conclusion, both the sides have there own benefits, in my opinion, theatres and cinemas assist people to watch movies together and also contributes a huge income the funds of country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the view that theatres and cinemas are no longer important due to online platforms, and the opposing view that they remain economically and culturally vital. The student also provides a clear personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. However, the ideas are somewhat generalized and lack fully developed supporting examples. For instance, the economic impact is mentioned broadly through taxes, but lacks specific elaboration. The position is clear throughout, meeting the requirements of Band 6 well, with relevant ideas presented even if they are slightly under-developed in places.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt at paragraphing, separating the introduction, two body paragraphs discussing opposing views, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To commence with', 'Apart from this', and 'On the flip side'. However, referencing and cohesion are sometimes faulty or mechanical. For example, the transitional phrase 'Apart from this some of the internet websites are extremely cheaper' feels slightly clunky, and the pronoun reference 'the expenditure cost of the which' in the third paragraph is grammatically broken and disrupts logical flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items such as 'indispensable', 'convenience', and 'energatic'. However, there are numerous noticeable spelling errors ('comtemporary', 'reaon', 'poeple', 'threatre', 'quipments', 'nesscary') and inaccurate word choices ('extreme cheaper' instead of 'extremely cheaper'). While the meaning is generally communicated, these persistent errors and awkward word formations prevent the lexical score from reaching the higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some control over structure. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('A few individual argue', 'every person... have') and incorrect prepositions or missing articles ('huge income the funds of country'). Additionally, fragment sentences or broken structures appear, such as 'this money is used in the development of the country' punctuated without a proper conjunction, and 'the expenditure cost of the which'. These errors occasionally cause difficulty for the reader.
