Student answer (Band 5.0)
There is ongoing debate about wether, on theatres and cinemas. There is a group of people who argue with each other. some people argue that, theatres and cinemas are no longer important, while other argue that, theatres and cinema are still important both economically and culturally. In this eassy we discuss both perspectiives and present our own opinion.
One particularly significant factor is that cinema and theatres both plays a vital role in our lifes. The need of theatres and cinemas does not finish for the people all of there life. That is the need of people. For instance, In the world there are alot of heroes and producers. The produces and heroes makes films and othere kind of videos and shows to the world in cinemas and in theatres. Millions of people go there and watch these films.
Another important considration is that, online entertainment. In the period of modernity, the smart phone plays a vital role in our life. The usage of smart phone is affect on the theatres and cinemas beacuse if anybody want to see the movie, they watch it on moblie phones. For example, there are alot of websites on phone there you can watch anything, like if you want to see a new movie on mobile you have to subscribe netflix and watch on it.
In conclusion, although both side of the argument have some merit, I strongly believe that cinema is important for all the people and for the economically and culturally. Thats it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both views on the importance of theatres and cinemas in the digital age and includes a personal opinion in the conclusion. However, the ideas are relatively basic and lack sufficient depth and specific real-world development. For instance, the discussion on economic and cultural importance mentioned in the prompt is only touched upon superficially in the final sentence ('economically and culturally'), rather than being thoroughly explored in the body paragraphs. The body paragraphs tend to repeat simple ideas about people watching films. Therefore, it fits the Band 5 descriptor where parts are addressed only partially and ideas remain somewhat limited and under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay is organised into an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing an attempt at paragraphing. However, overall progression is limited by awkward sequencing and repetitive phrasing. Cohesive devices are used mechanically and sometimes inaccurately, such as starting a sentence with 'Another important considration is that, online entertainment.' Referencing and transitions between sentences can be disjointed, as seen in the abrupt shift from the second paragraph to the third. Furthermore, punctuation and sentence boundaries are sometimes erratic. These features align closely with Band 5, which features some organisation but noticeable flaws in logical progression and cohesive device usage.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, with frequent misspellings and inappropriate word choices that occasionally strain the reader's understanding. Examples include 'wether' for whether, 'eassy' for essay, 'perspectiives' for perspectives, 'considration' for consideration, and 'produces' for producers. While the writer attempts some topic-related vocabulary like 'entertainment', 'movies', and 'subscribe', the range is limited and minimally adequate for the task. Frequent lexical errors and spelling mistakes restrict the score to Band 4.5, rounded to Band 5 based on overall adequacy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but many attempts contain noticeable grammatical errors. Examples include 'There is ongoing debate about wether, on theatres and cinemas', 'The usage of smart phone is affect on the theatres and cinemas', and 'there you can watch anything'. Errors in subject-verb agreement, prepositions, and word forms are frequent. Although the meaning is usually retrievable despite the grammatical strain, the high frequency of errors places this response firmly at Band 5.
