Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people believe that in the digital age, theatres and cinemas are no longer important as people can watch all the entertainment they want online. Others argue that theatres and cinemas are still important both economically and culturally. Now we discuss the both opinion of this veiw
In digital era people are found a large amount of entertainment data through internet. People can now watch movies, series or docomentry videos in youtube, netflix or amazon prime. People can easily watch all of these at any time at any any place. For example if i want to watch any movie or tv program at weekand i literally going to netflix watch at my bed comfortably..

Theraters or cinemas helps economically for others. Threaters or cinemas had gives some people employment to. For example in cinemas the ticket selling box or there is a food corner section where employ of the cinema can do her work. Selling tickets and food item can help cinema economically
In conclusion, although the internet has made entertainment more convenient and accessible, theatres and cinemas still have considerable economic and cultural importance. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—that theatres and cinemas are no longer important due to online streaming, and that they still hold economic and cultural value—while also providing a concluding personal opinion. The student generates relevant ideas throughout the body paragraphs, such as the convenience of online streaming contrasted with the immersive experience and economic contributions of physical cinemas. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited and constrained by the brief expansion of points, falling slightly short of fully developed arguments. While the essay is somewhat repetitive in its expression, it successfully covers all prompt requirements. Based on the official band descriptors, this performance aligns closely with a Band 5.5 to 6.0, warranting a Band 6.0 as the main task requirements are met with relevant ideas.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay demonstrates a coherent overall arrangement with clear structural divisions, including an introduction, body paragraphs discussing distinct viewpoints, and a conclusion. However, cohesion is frequently faulty and mechanical. The introduction features an awkward transitional sentence ("Now we discuss the both opinion of this veiw"), and paragraph transitions lack smooth linking phrases. Furthermore, referencing and pronoun use are sometimes unclear, such as shifting between plural and singular pronouns ("gather in excitedly waiting for her favourite movie"). Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion requires better management to achieve a higher score. Overall, the organisation is discernible, matching the criteria for a Band 5.5, which rounds to a Band 5.5.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student uses an adequate vocabulary range for the task, successfully incorporating terms such as "convenient," "accessible," "coexist," and "commercial experiences." However, there are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, including "docomentry," "weekand," "threaters," and "employ" instead of employees. Furthermore, collocations are occasionally unnatural, such as "entertainment data" instead of "entertainment content" or "digital era people are found a large amount." While these lexical inaccuracies and spelling mistakes are frequent, they do not impede overall communication, as the reader can still comprehend the intended meaning. This reflects the characteristics of a Band 5.5, appropriately rounded to a Band 5.5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writing displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating an attempt to use varied structures (e.g., conditional-like clauses and subordinate clauses such as "although the internet has made entertainment more convenient"). However, control over grammar and punctuation is inconsistent. There are numerous errors in verb tenses, subject-verb agreement, and articles, such as "has gives you a great experience," "The movie start in large screen," and "Threaters or cinemas had gives some people employment to." Punctuation and capitalization are also erratic, notably at the start of sentences and with proper nouns. Because these errors are frequent and occasionally cause difficulty for the reader, the grammar profile fits firmly within the Band 5 descriptor.
