Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt only partially, discussing both the decline of cinemas and their cultural or economic importance, but the ideas remain limited and under-developed. For instance, the writer mentions that cinemas give 'production a huge profit' and provide a great environment for family and friends, but these points are stated briefly without sufficient explanation or specific examples. Furthermore, your position is not always clearly sustained throughout the essay, as the conclusion merely states that 'it depand on person' rather than clearly summarising a distinct perspective on the debate. To reach a higher level, you should extend your main arguments with well-developed supporting details and maintain a consistent, clear point of view from the introduction to the conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some basic organisation in the essay, with attempts to divide ideas into paragraphs, but there is no clear overall progression from beginning to end. Transitions between ideas feel mechanical and repetitive, such as starting paragraphs with phrases like 'In a such areas' and 'In other hand'. Additionally, referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the logical development of your thoughts. For example, the pronouns and linking phrases in the third paragraph create confusion regarding whether you are discussing business people or general audiences. To improve, you need to use cohesive devices more accurately and naturally, ensuring that each sentence logically flows into the next and that paragraphing is used more effectively to structure your arguments.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task, containing noticeable errors that cause some difficulty for the reader. There are frequent lexical and spelling inaccuracies throughout the text, such as 'plamtforms', 'verious', 'indivisuals', 'instate', 'convenint', 'conclution', 'depand', and 'cimena'. Furthermore, word choices are often imprecise or unnatural, such as writing 'watch a movies and a webseries' or 'other corporate person'. While you attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary related to digital entertainment, the persistent errors in spelling and word form restrict your score. To achieve a higher band, you need to expand your lexical range, learn the correct spelling and collocations of common terms, and use less common vocabulary with greater precision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

Your writing displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences alongside attempts at complex forms that are frequently faulty. There are frequent errors in grammar, punctuation, and article usage that can cause difficulty for the reader, such as missing articles ('watch a movies', 'watch it on phone'), incorrect prepositions ('onto their laptop or on TV'), and faulty verb forms ('watching such a shows is become so easy', 'they would saw at home'). Subject-verb agreement and pluralisation also need attention, as seen in phrases like 'platforms who provides' and 'some times businessman'. To progress, you should work on building a wider variety of complex sentence patterns while improving your control over basic grammar rules, tense consistency, and article usage.
