Student answer (Band 5.5)
Few individuals suggest that in the modern age, theatres and cinemas are no longer crucial for people, they can watch all the shows and movies online whenever they want to. Others concern is that theatres and cinemas are still important both economically and culturally.
Firstly, yes its quite easier nowadays to watch entertainment online whenever we want or whatever we want to wach its' saves time as well as money also and it's a bit of a comfortable. For instances, whenever i planned to travel for like long hours in a flight, so i can easily rely on my online streaming app and can download whatever i want to watch. Even though, there is a option in flight also but they have limited movies and shows. Furthermore, we can enjoy any movie we want, with family and friends we have a free wil also we can eat as much as we want.
On the other hand, to support theatres and cinemas culturally and economically are really important, there are still some people who visit theatres to watch dramas and its culturally famous in europe also. For example, there are only few movies available, that directed on imax cameras and these movies is a only one time experience for individauls, they need to visit imax cinemas to experience these kinds of movies, while they are quite an bit expensive also which is good for economically.
In conclusion, in my opinion both have different perspective but yes to help economically and culturally individuals need to visit theatres for drama, sometimes theatres needed to host a comedy show just to make their theatre popular. Apart from this, modern age applications like Netflix and Hotstar made easier for this generation to access any movie they like or want to watch.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both views—the rise of online entertainment versus the enduring economic and cultural importance of physical venues—and includes a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and under-developed. For example, the point about online streaming is supported by a personal anecdote about a long flight, which lacks broader perspective, while the discussion on IMAX cameras and cultural traditions in Europe remains brief and lacks clear elaboration. The writer’s position is discernible throughout the essay, but some arguments are repetitive, particularly the emphasis on economic benefits, which prevents the response from achieving higher development.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay displays a basic overall structure with four distinct paragraphs, attempting to guide the reader through an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, progression is disrupted by mechanical and sometimes inadequate cohesive devices. Phrases such as 'Firstly, yes its quite easier' and 'On the other hand, to support theatres' create a somewhat abrupt transition between ideas. Furthermore, referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen in pronoun usage within longer, tangled sentences like 'there are only few movies available, that directed on imax cameras and these movies is a only one time experience.' While paragraphing is present, the logical flow within paragraphs requires firmer organizational control.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate to convey basic ideas about entertainment and streaming. There are noticeable lexical errors and awkward word choices, such as 'online streaming app', 'free wil', and 'movies that directed on imax cameras', which stem from issues with word form, collocation, and missing prepositions. Spelling is generally acceptable, but frequent errors in word choice and phrasing cause occasional difficulty for the reader and prevent the text from demonstrating the precision and flexibility expected at higher levels.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writing relies on a limited range of sentence structures, with frequent attempts at complex sentences resulting in structural faults and run-on clauses. Examples such as 'theatres and cinemas are no longer crucial for people, they can watch all the shows' and 'its quite easier nowadays to watch entertainment online whenever we want or whatever we want to wach its' saves time' demonstrate comma splices and mixed clause structures. Errors in verb tenses, subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'these movies is a only one time experience'), and articles occur frequently and can occasionally cause strain or confusion for the reader.
