Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argue that, In current digital age, theaters and cinema no longer important for people because people can consume all entertainment using online plateform, Whereas, other believe that cinemas and theater are the backbone of any nation economically and culturally.
People think they no longer need to go watch movies in cinema, This is because many streaming plateforms has been introduced and providing thousands of content in affordable prices. For example, Netflix, Amazon and Disney are giving movies in just one scroll, As a result people prefer to spending money on watching one movie in ticket price instead they can watch any movie they want by purchasing subscription in more lowest price
On the other hand theater and cinemas are still important. In other words cinema consider the importance part because indirectly it brings jobs for artist, workers, support country economically, represent culture and also bring people together, For example when Marvel famous movie Avengers end game was released in theaters it was being celebrated like a event globally.
In my opinon, cinema can never replaced by digital media streaming plateform, No doubt you can watch movies from the comfort of your home but people will not experience the sround sound environment, how much cheers togther and enjoy the specifc moment.
In conclusion, Although people prefer online streaming over cinema.I believe that, cinema provide environment to watch movies on bigger screen for movies lover with special technology like dolby atmos and IMAX. Overall, it create jobs, boost economy and help to represent culture on international level.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—the rise of digital streaming and the enduring cultural and economic importance of cinemas—and provides a clear personal opinion. However, some ideas are more fully developed than others. While the points regarding economic benefits and job creation are mentioned, they remain somewhat generalized and lack detailed support. For instance, the discussion on streaming platforms touches upon affordability and convenience, but the expansion of these arguments is limited. To reach a higher level, the ideas need to be more thoroughly extended with concrete examples and deeper analysis rather than repeating similar points about technology and culture across different paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a recognizable introduction, body paragraphs addressing both views and the personal stance, and a conclusion. However, the progression is sometimes hindered by faulty or mechanical cohesion. Cohesive devices are used, but they are occasionally inaccurate or repetitive, such as the frequent reliance on 'For example' and 'In conclusion'. Furthermore, referencing is not always clear, and paragraphing could be managed more effectively to ensure a smoother logical flow between ideas. The concluding lines appear disjointed and do not properly integrate into the text. Achieving a higher standard requires more varied and seamless transitional phrases and a clearer logical progression from one argument to the next.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The writer demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'backbone', 'globally', and 'dolby atmos'. However, there are noticeable errors in word choice, spelling, and word form throughout the essay, including 'plateform' instead of 'platform', 'sround sound' instead of 'surround sound', and 'most lowest' instead of 'lower'. While these lexical inaccuracies and spelling slips do not severely impede communication, they restrict the score. To improve this area, the student should focus on precise word formation, correct spelling of common academic and technical terms, and more natural collocations to convey ideas with greater precision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting structures like relative clauses and conditional-like expressions. Nevertheless, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that draw attention, such as incorrect subject-verb agreement in 'theaters and cinema no longer important', missing articles in 'consider the importance part', and awkward punctuation leading to run-on sentences or sentence fragments, especially near the end of the text. Although the meaning can still be understood despite these issues, the presence of frequent errors prevents the writing from demonstrating good control. A stronger performance would require greater accuracy in basic grammatical patterns, tense consistency, and correct punctuation.
