Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is argued that some people believe that in this modern digital age, we no longer need cinemas and theatre to get the entertainment, as now mostly movies and series are available online. On the other hand people think that we still need cinemas and theatres because through this our culture will stay alive and also its economical value for our country. I agree with the thought of the people who belive that online streams are enough to get entertainment.
Some people think online entertainment is enough and other forms are not needed, this is becuase nowadyas the online platforms are providing you mostly shows very cheeply. For example, if I talk about netflix and prime videos they are providing shows, movies and reality programs all are in one place without you have to go outside from your home, you only need their subscription for monthly or yearly and a good internet for your smart phone or television and you can watch whatever you want without any difficulty. In my opinion, I also agrees with this group of peoples thought becuase I also like to watch movies online rather than go to the theatre and watch there.
In terms of other people's believe that cinemas and theatres should stay relevant, this is because they think that these activities are coming from a long before in our life and now it becomes our cultural heritage it should be protected and have to invest more on cinemas and theatres so it stays alive and they also believe that it provides a lot in our economics of our country and by shutting these will eventually put our country in loss. It is also a very suitable entertainment for a person who are not earning well to afford these online platform monthly.
In conclusion, I agree with the people who thinks that online entertainment is enough, cinemas and theatre and no longer important because online is more convinent and you can get a lot of more staff to watch in the same subscription. On the other hand people still believe that cinemas and theatres are still our cultural heritage and it should be protected at any cost and also they believe that it is also economically very important for our country becuase it provides a lot of chunks in our economics.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response partially addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the online entertainment view and the cultural and economic importance of cinemas and theatres, while also stating a personal position. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive, particularly in the second and third body paragraphs where the same points regarding cost and convenience are reiterated rather than extended with fresh supporting evidence. The position is stated, but the arguments lack the depth and thorough elaboration required for higher bands, resulting in a partially developed treatment of the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
There is a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt at paragraphing, separating the introduction, two body viewpoints, and conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'On the other hand', 'For example', and 'In conclusion' are used to structure the text, though referencing and transitional phrases can occasionally be mechanical or repetitive, such as the repeated use of 'this is because' and 'they think that'. Paragraphing is present and generally helps to separate distinct ideas, but the progression within paragraphs can feel circular rather than advancing logically to new points.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is minimally adequate for the task, containing enough common terms to convey the basic message. However, the range is limited and there are noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and spelling, such as 'cheeply', 'convinent', 'staff' instead of 'stuff', and 'economical value' instead of 'economic value'. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary items like 'cultural heritage', but inaccuracies in word forms and spelling persist throughout the essay, causing occasional distraction for the reader.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The text displays a limited range of sentence structures, relying heavily on simple clauses and frequent attempts at complex structures that contain noticeable errors. There are frequent grammatical errors involving subject-verb agreement, such as 'people who belive', 'online platforms are providing... all are in one place', and 'person who are not earning'. Punctuation and article usage are also inconsistent, and clauses are occasionally strung together with run-on tendencies. These frequent errors in grammar and structure cause some difficulty for the reader, though the core meaning remains mostly accessible.
