Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people believe that there is no importance of theatres and cinemas as people can enjoy all the entertainment online. While, others believe that theatres and cinemas are still important for both ecomomically and culturally. In my opinion theatres and cinemas still play a vital role in a society.
Now a days, everything may available in online. People can enjoy all the entertaiment in their prefered time at their own place. For example, they may not need to book tickets or visit halls for entertainment. As a result they can enjoy entertainment in a peacful and comfortable way.
Others think that theatres and cinemas are still very important. In theatres people can enjoy movies with their friends and family. For example, people can visit theatres in weekend with their loved ones for enjoying movies. As a result they can enjoy entertainment as well as spend a good time with their loved ones.Theatres also plays a vital role in entertainment business. People can earn money by selling movie tickets through theatres. Without theatres and cinemas there can be significant loss in entertainment business.
I think that the both view is correct in their own perspective. However in my opinion theatres and cinemas still important. People can enjoy movies at their home. But sometimes they may need refreshment. Enjoying entertainment with friends and family can remove their whole week's pressure. Theatres and cinemas can be the best choice for enjoying entertainment with family and friends
In conclusion, people can enjoy entertainment online that doesnot mean there is no importance of theatres and cinemas. People may still visit theatres for entertainment because it allows them to experience movie with their loved ones in a different environment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the decline of theatres due to online entertainment and their ongoing economic and cultural importance, while also providing a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is uneven. For instance, the economic perspective is mentioned briefly with the sentence "People can earn money by selling movie tickets through theatres," but this point remains somewhat under-developed without further explanation or examples. The position is generally clear throughout the text, but the supporting points would benefit from deeper elaboration and more specific examples to fully satisfy higher criteria.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The text presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt to structure the essay into distinct paragraphs for each view and the writer's opinion. Progression is visible, though some transitions feel a bit mechanical or repetitive, such as the frequent use of "For example" and "As a result." Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the introduction, body points, and conclusion, but referencing and logical links between sentences occasionally feel abrupt, preventing a smoother flow of ideas from one point to the next.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, demonstrating an attempt to incorporate relevant thematic terms such as "entertainment," "culture," and "perspective." However, there are noticeable spelling errors ("ecomomically" instead of economically, "peacful" instead of peaceful, "doesnot" instead of does not) and awkward phrasing like "there is no importance of theatres." While these lexical inaccuracies do not completely impede communication, they restrict the range and precision of the vocabulary, keeping the response at a more basic level of expression.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as "Some people believe that there is no importance..." and "People can enjoy movies at their home." There are several grammatical errors regarding prepositions and articles, including "Now a days," "everything may available in online," and "in weekend." Furthermore, punctuation and sentence boundaries show occasional lapses, such as missing spaces after periods and incorrect subject-verb agreement in "the both view is correct." These errors occur with some regularity but rarely impede overall understanding.
