Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0

First, it must be noted that this response is severely under length, containing only 77 words compared to the minimum requirement of 250 words. Because the writing stops abruptly after the introductory sentence and the beginning of the first body paragraph ("On the one hand,"), the response addresses the task only minimally. The main views from the prompt are partially introduced, but because the text is cut off so early, there is no position developed, no discussion of the views, and no supporting examples provided. To reach a higher level, the response must be fully developed to the required length, addressing all parts of the prompt with a clear position and well-supported ideas.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response attempts basic organizational features such as introducing the essay's structure ("This eassy will discuss both plots with relavant examples") and setting up a logical contrast ("On the one hand,"). However, because the text cuts off immediately after this transition, there is no overall progression or logical sequencing of ideas across paragraphs. Paragraphing is attempted, but the extreme brevity prevents any meaningful evaluation of cohesive devices or paragraph unity. To improve coherence and cohesion, the writer needs to continue writing full paragraphs, ensuring that cohesive devices link ideas logically and that each paragraph maintains a clear central topic.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is a mix of basic and attempted less common items. The writer demonstrates an adequate range for the very limited text provided, incorporating terms like "digital age", "entertainment", and "economically and culturally". However, there are noticeable spelling and word choice errors, such as writing "argue" instead of "argued", "entertaiment" instead of "entertainment", "on online platform" instead of "on online platforms", "you tube" instead of "YouTube", and "thaetres" instead of "theatres". These errors reflect basic vocabulary control. To achieve a higher score, the writer must expand their lexical range, reduce spelling errors, and use less common vocabulary more accurately and naturally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The writer attempts a complex introductory sentence structure, which is a positive sign, but it contains frequent structural and grammatical errors. Examples include "It is often argue that, there are a large number of people think that...", which results in a fused verb phrase and redundant clauses. There are also issues with articles and prepositions, such as "on online platform". Because the text is only 77 words long, the range of structures is extremely limited, and errors are frequent relative to the amount produced. To improve grammatical range and accuracy, the writer needs to produce a greater variety of error-free sentences, paying closer attention to subject-verb agreement, verb tenses, and clause structures.
