Student answer (Band 5.0)

In moder time perpe are concern about theatres and cinemas for intertainment purposes beause they are mostly prefer went online but others think oposit so dicuss bith the vies in the given paragraphs along with my own opinion.

To commens with, the more important concers is thet people do not prefer to vist in cinimas as well as in theaters . the first reason of this is busy life , now a days individuals are busy in their life to do work boy forget to give importace of their natural life spendings. couses of thst they do not emotionally attach with satrangers ans their friends also. but they shuol have to give time to them srff and prefer cinemas and natural activities for intertainments .

even, other thinks that cinemas are still play important role into individuals life , first reason is to gape of generation , most of thr time older one {who is love to watch moives} is prefer to visit their because they do not know how to use modern technology . on the other side younger one is moste install all the moives and over thinks in their moniles laptops so they dont prefer visiting even in this era theaters are more costly as well .

According to me, Cinemas and theathers are minor used things by modern one but for olders its also famous as it is in previous and i make sure it will be also play important role but if people now about the time importance for their own and family as well .

It is conclude that , their is no dout cinemas and theathers ar not longer playing important role in their life but its also not doutble that its still important both economically and culturally for intertainment .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both views regarding whether theatres and cinemas are still important in the digital age, and presents a clear personal opinion in the conclusion. However, the ideas are limited and under-developed, which places this aspect at the lower intermediate level. For example, the argument regarding the generation gap and the older generation's preference for physical cinemas is introduced but remains underdeveloped. Similarly, the points about economic and cultural importance mentioned in the conclusion are not adequately supported with relevant examples or explanations. To reach a higher level, you should extend each main idea with further explanation and concrete examples rather than moving quickly from one point to another.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is a clear attempt to organise the essay into paragraphs with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing some overall organisation. However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted. Cohesive devices are often inadequate, inaccurate, or repetitive, such as the frequent use of phrases like 'To commens with' and 'first reason of this'. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal flow within paragraphs is mechanical and sometimes confusing, as seen in the second paragraph where multiple ideas about busyness and social connection are lumped together without smooth transitions. To improve Coherence and Cohesion, you need to use a wider range of cohesive devices accurately and ensure that every paragraph has a clear central topic sentence followed by logically linked supporting points.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is limited and barely adequate for the task. There are noticeable errors in word choice, spelling, and word form that cause some difficulty for the reader, such as 'moder' for modern, 'perpe' for people, 'intertainment' for entertainment, 'gosip' or 'gape' for gap, and 'theathers' for theatres. Attempts to use less common vocabulary often result in inaccurate collocations, such as 'minor used things' or 'over thinks in their moniles'. These persistent lexical inaccuracies prevent the writing from achieving a higher band. To improve, you should focus on expanding your control of common academic vocabulary, checking word forms, and paying close attention to accurate spelling.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response demonstrates a very limited range of structures, relying mostly on simple sentences, and attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty. There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues like 'cinemas are still play important role', incorrect verb tenses, and major punctuation and capitalization errors. These frequent errors cause difficulty for the reader and obscure the intended meaning in several places, such as in the sentence 'i make sure it will be also play important role but if people now about the time importance'. To progress, you need to work on forming accurate complex sentences using subordinate clauses, correct tense consistency, and basic grammatical rules such as articles and plurals.
