Student answer (Band 6.0)
The importance of theatres and cinemas is a controversial topic, which has now become a centre of discussion. Where some people prefer their existence, the others reject this notion. The opinions for this idea are like two sides of a coin. Although, such places are important culturally, i support that entertaining stuff should be available digitally.
In the era of technology globalization, many people believe that there should be no cinemas or theatres available as every piece of entertainment is already accessible via internet. The presence of such content online has made life more entertaining. For example, if a person is bored, he can watch any movie instantly on his phone. Hence the need of a designated place for the purpose of entertainment is not much required. Moreover, cinemas have a fix time for the show, which is not possible for everyone to make time for. Such as, in case of working people, who only have weekends free, if every movie is released in cinemas only, they will have to wait a long week before having some leisure time.
On the other hand, cinemas are a crucial part of some cultures. The majority of people has lived the era of cinemas and theatres, they have some sentiment toward it. For example, the people of the previous generation used to went cinemas for entertainment, such people have memories with their friends and families related to that specific place. In order to feel connected to that era, they still prefer going to cinemas and theatres. The other reason for considering this fact important is economic development. For example if a movie is available on a specific source at a specific time, more people will go to that place, pay for the ticket and also buy some refreshments. In such way, the business for cinema industry willl increase.
In conclusion, both point of views have some significance due to their merits. Whereas, i firmly believe that, as world is progressing people should have access to whatever they want to watch readily available.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the digital viewpoint and the cultural-economic arguments, while also stating your own opinion. However, the development of your ideas is uneven, which is characteristic of this band. For instance, your first body paragraph explains how online content makes life more entertaining and mentions working people waiting for weekends, but these ideas remain somewhat surface-level and lack fully extended examples. Similarly, while you mention economic development in the second body paragraph regarding ticket and refreshment sales, this argument could have been explored more deeply. Your position is clear throughout the essay and reiterated in the conclusion, but to move up to a higher level, you need to ensure that every main idea is fully supported with robust reasoning and more detailed examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
Your essay demonstrates a coherent overall arrangement with a clear paragraph-by-paragraph structure that separates the introduction, the digital view, the cultural and economic view, and the conclusion. You use basic cohesive devices adequately to guide the reader, such as 'For example', 'Hence', 'Moreover', and 'On the other hand'. However, referencing and cohesion occasionally feel slightly mechanical or repetitive, such as starting multiple sentences with 'For example' in succession. Furthermore, paragraphing is generally handled well, but bridging the transition between ideas more smoothly would help push your organisational skills into higher territory. Overall, the logic is easy to follow despite these minor structural shortcomings.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'technological globalization', 'designated place', and 'sentiment'. However, there are noticeable word-choice, word-form, and spelling errors throughout the text that indicate this level. For instance, you wrote 'i support' with a lowercase pronoun, used 'fix time' instead of 'fixed time', wrote 'went cinemas' instead of 'went to cinemas', and misspelled 'industry willl increase'. Other phrasing such as 'entertaining stuff' is a bit informal for an academic essay. While these errors do not seriously impede communication, refining your control over collocations, word forms, and spelling accuracy is essential before progressing further.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some control over multi-clause structures like conditional and subordinate clauses, as seen in 'if a movie is available on a specific source at a specific time, more people will go...'. However, there are several errors in grammar and punctuation that prevent a higher rating, including missing articles ('the era of cinemas'), subject-verb agreement issues ('The majority of people has lived'), and awkward preposition use. Your sentences generally remain functional, and the errors rarely impede communication, but to achieve a higher band you must demonstrate a greater proportion of error-free sentences when deploying complex syntactic structures.
