Student answer (Band 5.0)
We live in a modern era where we have a great digitals gadget such as smartphones . which we use for our daily life . Majority of people believe that in the present era , All entertainment material are switch to online people can watch whatever they want there are no longer importance for cinemas or theatres . In spite of others argue that both traditionally or economically theatres or cinemas are still important . I share my opinion in the end of both views and discuss briefly and share my opinion .
On the one hand, Numerous numbers of individuals say that in the digital age cinemas and theatres are no longer need for entertainment purpose because people are nowadays, generally perphare to watch all kind of entertainment materials they want online . It give us a lot of benefits such as it safetime , safe our expense , or no longer to wait for days or months to watch any kind of entertainment . there are lot of platforms where we watch all this entertainment material online like Netflix, youtube , prime video and others social applications .
On the other hand, there are some people they still argue that theatres and cinemas are still important like culturally or economically . Meanwhile they believe in cinemas or theatres we will see the entertainment material as face to face which create a good environment or where we make are memories such as with family , friends and enjoy every moment with them therefore they argue that cinemas and theatres are still important for close are family our friends with us .
In contrast, I strongly believe that watching online entertainment materials is more important than go and watch in cinemas or theatres for example : In cinemas or theatres we spent our lot of money and time as compare to watching online entertainment We safe our both time or money and watch any kind of entertainment material whenever or wherever we want to watch .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both views regarding cinemas and theatres in the digital age and provides an opinion, but the development remains limited and partially repetitive. The student presents some relevant ideas, such as the convenience and cost-effectiveness of online streaming platforms like Netflix and YouTube, as well as the cultural and social value of in-person viewing experiences with family and friends. However, these ideas are underdeveloped and the position is not always clearly sustained throughout the body paragraphs. Additionally, eight words copied directly from the prompt were not counted. To reach a higher level, the writer needs to present fully extended and well-supported arguments with specific examples rather than restating similar points about saving time and money across multiple paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is a basic logical arrangement with clear attempts at paragraphing and transitional markers such as 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand'. However, the overall progression lacks clarity and flow due to mechanical and repetitive use of cohesive devices, such as repeatedly writing 'share my opinion' and 'entertainment material'. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, particularly in transitional sentences where clauses feel disjointed. For instance, the transition into the writer's own opinion ('In contrast, I strongly believe...') does not logically contrast with the preceding paragraph in the way intended. To improve, the writer should ensure smoother transitions between ideas and use a wider, more natural variety of cohesive links to guide the reader through the argument without mechanical repetition.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task, with noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and spelling that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. The student attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'digitals gadget' and 'entertainment materials', but demonstrates persistent errors in collocation and morphological forms, writing 'perphare' instead of prefer, 'safetime' instead of save time, and 'traditionally' instead of traditional. Repetition of basic terms like 'entertainment' and 'important' restricts the range of expression. To achieve a higher score, the writer needs to expand their lexical repertoire, control word formations accurately, and use more precise vocabulary related to media and economics.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response exhibits a very limited range of structures, relying mostly on simple sentences joined by basic coordinators, while attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty. There are frequent errors in verb forms, tenses, subject-verb agreement, and articles, which cause noticeable difficulty for the reader. Examples include 'there are no longer importance for cinemas', 'cinemas and theatres are no longer need', 'It give us a lot of benefits', and 'We safe our both time or money'. Punctuation is also problematic, with erratic spacing around commas and periods throughout the text. To progress, the writer must focus on mastering basic sentence structures, ensuring correct subject-verb agreement, and reducing the frequency of foundational grammatical errors.
