Student answer (Band 5.5)
In today's rapidly evolving world the issue of theatres and cinemas are no longer crucial because mostly individuals watch all type of entertainments online. While other school of thought still claims that theatres and cinemas are still have equally significant both economically and cuturally. This issue has sparked a considerable debate, with opinions divided on whether it is beneficial or harmful. While both sides of the argument hold merit. I strongly inclined to agree with the first point of view because of available digital platforms and availability of affordable digital devises. This essay will present compelling reasons and real-world examples to support my stance.
To bigin with one side of the argument the proponents of the view empasises that, In this modern world lots of streeming websites and digital platforms available and they provide easy access to new and old entertainment data. For example, Netfilx and Amazon are digital platforms and they provide all types of movies and web series for a affordable charges. Moreover, China produces many cheep internet devises that are easily available in the market, individulas bought these devises for cheep prices and enjoy their entertainment.
On the other side of the argument, the advocates of the view that theatres and cinemas are still crucial both economically and culturally as they believe some people like to visit cinemas for entertainment purposes. They argued that theatres and cinemas contributes in the economy. For instance, government may earn more money through additional texes and advertisement in the cinemas.
Finally, as far as my opinion is conserned, i perceive that in the modern world, the value of theatres and cinemas diminish because of digital platforms and easy access of affordable digital gedgets.
In conclusion, although it is understandable that some may take a different view, I firmly believe that first point of view hold more weight than second one. The reasons discussed above supported by both logic and evidence make this position both reasonable and well-substantiated.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on the importance of theatres and cinemas versus online platforms and provides a clear personal position. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and uneven across the essay. For instance, while the view regarding digital availability is supported with examples such as Netflix and Amazon, the economic and cultural arguments for physical cinemas are underdeveloped, relying on brief, sweeping assertions like 'government may earn more money through additional texes.' The stance is clear throughout, but the reasoning remains basic rather than fully extended, placing the response at a level where relevant ideas are presented yet some are left under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a discernible structure, utilizing paragraphing to separate the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. Progression is visible as the writing moves from one viewpoint to the next, followed by the writer's opinion. However, cohesion at times feels mechanical or repetitive, particularly in the transitions between paragraphs such as 'To bigin with one side of the argument' and 'On the other side of the argument.' Referencing and logical linking within sentences are occasionally faulty, which prevents the flow from being entirely smooth and natural. To achieve a higher level, the writer needs to employ a wider and more flexible range of cohesive devices without relying on formulaic transition phrases.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary range to communicate ideas about digital entertainment versus traditional cinemas, attempting less common items such as 'substantiated' and 'economically and culturally'. However, the vocabulary is constrained by noticeable lexical and spelling errors that impede communication at times, such as 'cuturally', 'bigin', 'empasises', 'streeming', 'cheep', 'individulas', 'conserned', and 'gedgets'. Word choice is frequently basic or imprecise, using phrases like 'entertainment data' instead of content. These frequent inaccuracies in spelling and word choice prevent the lexical control from reaching a higher standard, confining the performance to a minimally adequate range with persistent slips.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the grammatical control is hindered by frequent errors. There are noticeable issues with subject-verb agreement and clause structures, such as 'the issue of theatres and cinemas are no longer crucial', 'theatres and cinemas are still have equally significant', and 'the value of theatres and cinemas diminish'. Additionally, punctuation and article usage errors occur throughout the text, such as missing articles before singular countable nouns ('for a affordable charges'). While these errors do not completely obscure the intended meaning, they are frequent enough to cause difficulty for the reader and reflect a limited command of grammatical structures.
