Student answer (Band 4.5)
well in my view theatres and cinemas all not that much important because in this modren technology you don't need to go cinemas or theatre because everything is now available online and easily accessible also its cost you less as compare to theater and cinemas you can watch movies or dramas online easily on the different online website like youtube, Netflix, amazon prime and many more apps. In this advance technology you don't need to go specially to theaters or cinemas but you can entertain yourself anywhere where you want to.
furthermore its a true that cinema's and theatres represent your culture and its important to learn about your culture but in this modren era most of the people don't prefer to go the theaters or cinemas because it was for them to watch online just need of the a good internet and everything is accessible online also i think cinemas and theatres is also cost affective like it will cost you ticket and and it will also cost you travel.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
Your response responds to the task only minimally, which is reflected in your overall word count of 171 words, falling well short of the 250-word minimum requirement. While you attempt to touch upon both views regarding the importance of cinemas and your own opinion, your ideas remain very limited and under-developed. For instance, you briefly mention that online platforms like Netflix and YouTube are cheaper and more accessible, but you do not extend or support these points with specific examples or deep reasoning. Your position is hinted at when you state 'theatres and cinemas all not that much important', but the lack of elaboration and insufficient length prevent a more complete exploration of the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The information and ideas in your essay are not arranged cohesively, leading to a lack of clear overall progression. The text is divided into only two very long, dense paragraphs that run-on without proper breaks or punctuation. Furthermore, cohesive devices are inadequate and repetitive; you rely heavily on connectors like 'also' and 'furthermore' to string clauses together rather than to create logical links between distinct ideas. Referencing is also faulty at times, making it difficult for the reader to follow the exact progression of your arguments from one point to the next.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is basic and repetitive, utilizing a limited range of words that occasionally strain the reader's understanding. You make frequent spelling and word-choice errors, such as writing 'modren' instead of modern, 'cost affective' instead of cost-effective, and using 'travel' awkwardly as a noun adjunct. These noticeable errors and your reliance on simple everyday terms restrict the precision of your writing. To move to a higher level, you need to incorporate a wider and more accurate range of less common lexical items related to culture, economics, and digital media.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You use a very limited range of structures, relying mostly on run-on simple sentences linked by conjunctions, while your attempts at complex structures are frequently faulty. There are constant errors in grammar and punctuation throughout the text, including missing apostrophes (e.g., 'cinemas' instead of cinema's misuse), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'theatres and cinemas all not that much important'), and a complete lack of sentence-boundary punctuation. These frequent errors distract the reader and can distort your intended meaning.
