Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this contemporary era, stage and screen are a good source of entertainment for public. Some argue that because of technological era, the entertainment industry is no longer cruicial, while other believe that they are imporetant for financial ad cultural term. This essay will examine both arguments before explaining my perspective.
To begin with, supporter of this view base their argument on several key reasons.Intially, theatrical and cinematic are less relevent.Owing to online platforms as they offer great variety at lower cost. To explain it in detail, from a online platforms masses can pay subscription of month or two months, from where they can watch variety of films in a payment which is also lower then cinemas tickets. In addition to that,Online platforms are more convenient because people watch literally any kind of movie from anywhere. They do not need to travel or visit stage and screen, which also saves time as well as cost of travel. Thus to some extent cinemas are not neccessary as much.
On the other hand, there are equally strong argument supporting the opposite view point.Performing arts and films are crucial for economic and cultural development. The primary reason is that, they provide unique and social experience. To explicate it,when folks watch movies in a theaters while seating with a large number of audience it gives a unique experience and it makes them feel more enjoyable rather than watching alone. The secondary reason is that, they provide employement and improve the economy. People can obtain a job in cinemas which helps in their personal growth as well as it bis also profitable for other nearby cafe and shopping malls. Therefore, film entertainments are important.
To conclude, although there are various online platforms for observing a new movies ,cinemas and theatres are still integral. As per my perspective ,they are still relevent for better experience and to improve the economy by providing jobs.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both views and give a clear opinion: online viewing is cheaper and more convenient, while cinemas and theatres offer a shared experience and support employment. These points are relevant and the conclusion restates your position. The response meets the task well overall, but some ideas are more fully explained than others. For example, the subscription-cost comparison is supported with a practical explanation, whereas the claim that theatres and cinemas contribute to cultural development is not developed with a specific cultural example. The economic point also focuses mainly on jobs and nearby businesses. To strengthen the response further, explain how live performance or cinema preserves cultural traditions or supports local creative industries, and extend each main point with a concrete example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. The progression from affordability and convenience to shared experience and employment is easy to follow, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “To conclude” help identify the stages of the argument. However, some linking is mechanical, and a few connections are unclear. For instance, “Owing to online platforms as they offer…” is not smoothly attached to the preceding claim, while “Therefore, film entertainments are important” repeats the paragraph’s point rather than advancing it. Use a wider range of natural links between claims and explanations, and make references such as “they” unmistakably refer to cinemas and theatres.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “subscription,” “convenient,” “unique experience,” “economic,” and “employment,” and the reader can generally understand your intended meaning. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “integral” and “cultural development.” However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, word forms, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the writing less natural: “theatrical and cinematic,” “financial ad cultural term,” “a online platforms,” and “film entertainments” are examples. Spelling errors such as “cruicial,” “imporetant,” and “neccessary” also reduce precision. Build accuracy by learning common topic collocations and checking spelling and word forms; this will make your vocabulary more flexible and reliable.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “which,” and “although.” This gives the response some structural variety, and the main ideas remain understandable. However, control is inconsistent: several sentences contain faulty construction or agreement, as in “Owing to online platforms as they offer great variety,” “there are equally strong argument,” and “when folks watch movies in a theaters.” Articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries also need attention; for example, “from a online platforms” and the run-on punctuation in “from anywhere. They do not need” interrupt accuracy. Practise building complete sentences around one main clause, then check subject–verb agreement, articles, and punctuation. More accurate complex sentences would improve clarity.
