Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and give a clear preference for the economic and cultural value of theatres and cinemas. The online-view paragraph offers relevant reasons—wider choice and convenience—while the opposing view identifies revenue, support for local content, and awareness of traditions. These points keep the response focused on the question. However, some ideas are asserted rather than fully explained: for example, the claim that cinemas “stop against the content theft” is unclear, and the IPL example does not clearly show how cinemas and theatres themselves create this benefit. Develop each reason with a direct explanation or a more precise example, and make your opinion explicit earlier as well as in the conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable overall structure: it introduces the debate, presents the online perspective, contrasts it with the case for cinemas, and ends with a conclusion and example. Basic signposting such as “Secondly,” “Whereas,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the main direction. However, progression is uneven: the final example appears after the conclusion, so it feels like an additional body point rather than support for the stated ending. Some links are mechanical or unclear, and several sentences run together without adequate punctuation. Group the economic and cultural arguments more deliberately, place the example before the conclusion, and use clearer references to connect each supporting point to the view it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “subscription,” “revenue,” “local traditions,” and “viewership,” which helps communicate the main ideas. However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural combinations are noticeable and sometimes make meaning difficult to interpret, as in “content theft,” “early released online,” and “supports their others sectors.” There is also repetition of basic terms such as “content,” “people,” and “entertainment.” Aim to learn accurate collocations and check spelling carefully; for instance, describe cinemas as “generating revenue” and say that films are “released online early.” More precise vocabulary would make your economic and cultural arguments easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a contrast between the two viewpoints and a sentence explaining how online subscriptions compare with cinema tickets. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and punctuation sometimes make the reader work to understand the message. For example, “The arrival of digital age change the opinions” lacks accurate article use and verb agreement, while “the revenue earned through cinema and theater provide” has a subject–verb agreement problem. Several sentences also join separate ideas without clear boundaries. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and use full stops to separate complete thoughts before attempting longer constructions.
