Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this technological era , we can easily found many sources of entertainment online. It is argued by few individuals that the online entertainment platfroms have reduced the significance of theatres and cinemas. However , others believe that they are still important in terms of money and culture.Although , online entertainment has a great impact on the cinemas because of numerous benefits of it including cost-time efficient and easy access to variety of platforms,I believe that movie houses still play various crucial roles such as income generation and potects culture also.
To begin with, some people are in the favour of former because there are various favourable outcomes of using online platforms for entertainment purpose instead of theatres and cinemas.Primarily, the online enjoyment platforms are both cost and time efficient as there is no need of paying multiple ticket prices and anyone can watch movies without spending unneccesary time on travelling to theatres. Moreover, easy accessability is the most important function of online platforms as people can easily access to the large number of movies and series on a single website. For instance, there are various sites available such as netflix ,amazon prime and many more, in these websites individuals can see large number of entertainment shows by using only one monthly payment.
On the contrary, others believe later notion to be more significant because of some reasons.First of all, cinemas still play an imperative role in generating income which further leads to the growth in the national income.Additinally , these auditoriums also serve the purpose of preserving culture of spending time together as while watching shows in cinemas with our loved ones, individuals can spend there more time with them and which consequently builds stronger bonds between them.
To conclude, Eventhough cinemas are not better than online platforms in terms of cost and accessability ,I still believe that these entertainment houses are still crucial because they provide great assistance in increasing national income and protect cultures also.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You discuss both perspectives and state a consistent opinion: online viewing is convenient, but cinemas remain important for income and culture. The first view is supported with relevant points about avoiding ticket and travel costs and accessing films through services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime. The opposing view is also addressed, but its economic and cultural claims are less fully explained. For example, the link between cinemas and national income is asserted rather than illustrated, while the idea that cinema-going preserves culture is mainly framed as spending time with loved ones. Develop these points with a specific example and explain more clearly what cultural value a shared cinema experience provides.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion that restates your position. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “On the contrary,” and “To conclude” make the progression easy to follow, and the examples are placed in the relevant paragraph. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some flexibility in linking ideas. However, transitions are sometimes mechanical, and several sentences contain too many connected points, particularly the long sentence beginning “Although, online entertainment…” and the final sentence of the second body paragraph. Use clearer sentence boundaries and more precise referencing so that each claim and its explanation are easy to track.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a reasonable range of topic-related vocabulary, including “significance,” “imperative role,” “generating income,” and “preserving culture.” These choices show an attempt to use less common language, but inaccurate spelling, word forms, and collocations are noticeable and sometimes make the phrasing awkward. Examples include “platfroms,” “potects,” “cost-time efficient,” and “easy accessability”; “access to the large number of movies” is also not idiomatic. Some expressions, such as “online enjoyment platforms,” are less natural than standard terms for this topic. Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully, rather than choosing elaborate wording when a simpler precise phrase would communicate the idea more effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a concession in the introduction and explanatory clauses such as “as there is no need of paying multiple ticket prices.” The main ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “we can easily found” uses the wrong verb form, and “individuals can spend there more time with them” has an unclear pronoun and incorrect construction. The opening sentence beginning “Although” is not completed as a dependent clause, and punctuation spacing around commas and full stops is inconsistent. Work on verb forms, clause boundaries, and sentence punctuation, then proofread longer sentences to ensure that each clause is grammatically complete.
