Student answer (Band 4.5)

In the digital age, the streaming plateform such as the mobilephones apps, netflex, and other social cinemas some people use the physical threaters ad cinemas. This essay will dicuss both views and argue that cinemas and threatres remain important.

On the one hand, there are clear reasins why online entertainment is replacing traditional venues. Firstly, the peoples can watch movies or videos at home with the help of TV, computers and other app such as netflex. These are the common app in the society and peoples watch movies without any travelling or to buy tickets. The internet speed and HD are provided only at home and TV screen the threaters are not provided in the modern facilities and they see bad activities in the threaters.

On the other hand, threaters and cinema play a vital role. The provided only the old habits not the see modern things. Watching a film on a big screen in the cinema and to create some distrubance on the audience and feeling not good to see the films and to create bad emotionals. The treatres and cenemas are the old places in the cities. Some peoples go to the theatres and to create bad emotions feel not good.

In conlusion, some peoples are like to go to the cinemas and theatres but those peoples aren't like to go to the cinemas and threaters. In my opinion, all peoples are not go to the cinemas or thretres because all facilities are available in the in our homes such as internet and TV, to watch the HD movies relaxally and comfortably. Not any create emotions and distrubance they feel good or comfortable.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You introduce the topic and state a position—“cinemas and threatres remain important”—so the reader can identify your general response. You also attempt to discuss both online viewing and physical venues. However, the discussion does not adequately explain the cultural or economic importance of theatres and cinemas, and the paragraph about their benefits is difficult to understand and even describes negative experiences rather than supporting their value. The conclusion then shifts to the opposite position, saying people do not go because home facilities are available. This leaves your opinion inconsistent and the task only minimally addressed. To improve, explain each view with relevant reasons and examples, then maintain one clear opinion throughout; for instance, discuss shared cultural experiences or employment alongside the convenience of streaming.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” show an attempt to organise the discussion. However, the ideas within paragraphs do not progress clearly. The second body paragraph begins with “theatres and cinema play a vital role” but then gives unclear or contradictory points, while the conclusion repeats that people both like and do not like cinemas without resolving the argument. Some sentences are also difficult to connect, such as the claims about a big screen, disturbance and “bad emotionals.” Build each paragraph around one clear main idea, explain it in a logical sequence, and use pronouns and linking phrases only when their references are clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

Your vocabulary is basic and often repetitive, with frequent spelling and word-choice errors that make parts of the response difficult to understand. Examples include “streaming plateform,” “netflex,” “threaters,” and “bad emotionals.” The repeated use of “peoples,” “good,” and “bad” also limits precision, particularly when discussing the benefits of cinemas. Some task-related terms, such as “digital age,” “online entertainment,” and “big screen,” are relevant, but they are not developed into a wider or more accurate range. Work on spelling common topic vocabulary and choosing precise collocations. For example, describe the “convenience of streaming” or the “shared experience of watching a film in a cinema” rather than relying on vague references to comfort or emotion.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including “people can watch movies or videos at home with the help of TV, computers and other app.” However, grammatical errors are frequent and sometimes distort meaning. There are problems with subject–verb agreement and plural forms (“some people use,” “the peoples can watch”), articles and sentence construction (“the theatres and cinema play a vital role”), and incomplete or confusing clauses, especially in the second body paragraph. The conclusion also contains several unclear structures, such as “all peoples are not go to the cinemas.” Use straightforward sentence patterns accurately before attempting longer ones. Check that each sentence has a clear subject and verb, and practise agreement, articles and plural nouns.
