Student answer (Band 4.5)

It is often argued that, some people thinks, which is in their digital age, movie thearters and cinemas have not much importance as cictizens can watch all the entertainment they want online. but some other citizens argued that theaters and cinemas are still have much values in thier economical and cultural view. Although some might agree or some peoples disagree. in my opinion, theaters are much important for the peoples to enjoy in thier weekends with thier families. I completely agreed with this beacuse when citizens have doing thier jobs, for 5 days per week and only weekends are left for entertaing thier lives with thier family.

One the one hand, it is also very important for the coutries because they suport it economically and culturally.

There are multiple examples, for that peoples who thaught cinemas and theaters are not important like when peoples feels bored, with thier daily routines of work the need some entertainment places to enjoy with thier families as well.

On the other hand, peoples preffer to stay in thier homes and watch movies and programms on thier phone or tv which may they like most.

Initially, cinemas and theaters support the country with thier economic and culture values.

Hence,it is proved that entertainment is very necassary for the peoples to entertain thier lives. Because entertainment is very important part of our daily busy life.

In my opinion, theaters and cinemas are imporant for the peoples in thier lives, I believe that theaters and cinemas, both are important for citizens and for the country economical values.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You give a clear personal view that cinemas and theatres remain important, and you briefly acknowledge the opposing view that people can watch films and programmes at home. However, the discussion is only minimally developed: the claim that venues support a country economically and culturally is repeated but not explained, and the point about family entertainment is not supported with a specific example or detail. The online-view paragraph is also very brief, so the two sides are not discussed with comparable depth. To strengthen the response, explain how venues create jobs or preserve shared cultural experiences, then develop the convenience or lower cost of online viewing before reaching a more fully supported conclusion. The stated length requirement is met; eight words copied from the task prompt were excluded from the count.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is an attempt to organise the response around the two views, using “One the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and the final sentences return to your opinion. However, the progression is difficult to follow because ideas are repeated or placed in paragraphs without clear development. For example, the economic and cultural point appears in both the second paragraph and “Initially,” while the first paragraph combines the task paraphrase, your position, and a reason. Some linking phrases, such as “Hence,” do not clearly show how the preceding point leads to the conclusion. Use a clear introduction, one developed paragraph for each view, and a conclusion; connect each claim to its explanation or example.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

Your vocabulary is basic and repetitive, with frequent reliance on “important,” “people,” “entertainment,” and “enjoy.” This limits precision when discussing the economic and cultural roles of venues. There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice problems, including “thearters,” “cictizens,” “thier,” “necassary,” and “preffer,” which can distract the reader. Some phrases are difficult to interpret naturally, such as “entertain their lives” and “support the country with their economic and culture values.” Aim to use accurate, topic-specific expressions and check spelling carefully. For instance, you could describe venues as “cultural institutions” or say they “generate employment,” then explain these ideas in context rather than repeating general claims.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt some longer sentence forms, including a contrast introduced by “Although” and a reason beginning “because,” but control is weak and many sentences contain errors in basic structures. Examples include “some people thinks,” “cinemas are still have,” and “when citizens have doing their jobs”; these show problems with agreement, verb forms, and sentence construction. The opening also begins “It is often argued that” but does not complete the structure clearly, and “Although some might agree or some peoples disagree” is a fragment. Punctuation and capitalisation are inconsistent, as in the lowercase “but” after a full stop and “Hence,it.” Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add controlled subordinate clauses and check each sentence for a complete main clause.
