Student answer (Band 5.0)

One of the most conspicuous trends of today's world is the collosal upsuge in the number of people believing that cineplex are no pupular because it is replaced by online sites while others oppose it by saying its play an important for our economically and culturally. In my opinion the formar, the later apprehension is warranted and should be accepted.

To commence with, there are deluge of argument in favour of movies house. The most prepondrant one is that spending time with our close ones. It can not only contribute to maintain relation with our family members but also leads to numerous benefits in various fields. Thanks to the wide range of advantages it offers masses can enhance the productivity and quality of their lives. Furthermore, another pivotal aspect of aforemention propostion is that it can develop the skills in people when they go to cinemas they make memories with their friends and save for lifetime. Hence, it is clear that why many people are in favor of this view point.

On the other hand, a section of society contradict the above said view by providing some justification. They ponder that it is watching movies in the movie house is waste of money because all medias are available on online sites and very flexible. To explain if individuals watch the movies online they can save their money and spend on another thing. The second reason is that watch online movies is more flexible because if they want any kind of break in the movies they can take easily. Therefore it is readily apparant that why some people are criticising the formar statement.

To conclude, having pondered of above stated, it is crystal clear that benefits of the watchin movies in cineplex is good but we do not ignore the negetive impacts on people.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You attempt to discuss both views and give a preference, but the response only partially fulfils the task because the position is difficult to identify and the main arguments are not sufficiently developed. The opening says “the formar, the later apprehension is warranted,” which is unclear, and the conclusion does not clearly state which view you support. The cinema-side paragraph focuses mainly on spending time with family and making memories, rather than explaining the economic or cultural importance named in the prompt. The opposing view is more directly addressed through cost and flexibility, but these points need fuller explanation and a relevant example. State your opinion plainly and connect each body paragraph to the specific claims in the question.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting opposing views, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “To commence with,” “On the other hand,” and “To conclude” help signal the stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear, and some linking phrases do not show a precise relationship between ideas. For example, the move from spending time with family to “enhance the productivity and quality of their lives” is not explained. References such as “the above said view” and “the former statement” are also difficult to follow. Organise each paragraph around one clear claim, then explain and illustrate it before moving to the next point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt a range of formal and topic-related vocabulary, including “conspicuous trends,” “pivotal aspect,” and “flexible.” However, many word choices, collocations, and spellings are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning difficult to understand. Examples include “collosal upsuge,” “cineplex are no pupular,” “deluge of argument,” and “prepondrant.” Some expressions are also unnatural, such as “important for our economically and culturally” and “save for lifetime.” These errors limit the precision and naturalness of the vocabulary despite your effort to use less common terms. Prefer accurate, straightforward wording, and check spelling and collocations; for instance, use “cinemas are less popular” and “important to the economy and culture.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You try to use both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses beginning with “because” and “if.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and punctuation can make the reader work to understand your meaning. For example, “there are deluge of argument” has problems with the article and plural form, while “They ponder that it is watching movies in the movie house is waste of money” contains a confused clause structure. In “it can not only contribute to maintain relation … but also leads,” the parallel construction and verb forms are not controlled. Build shorter, complete sentences first, then practise joining them accurately with conjunctions.
