Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the discussion and give a final view: online services are convenient, while cinemas and theatres support employment and cultural connection. Relevant examples include streaming platforms and the role of the entertainment industry in creating jobs. However, the two views are not developed equally. The online section gives several practical advantages, but the economic and cultural case is asserted more than explained; for example, “cultural exchange” and the reference to Shakespeare are not connected clearly to how venues benefit society. Your opinion is also somewhat mixed: the conclusion says people prefer online cinema, then supports theatres and cinemas. State your position consistently and explain the strongest reasons with clearer examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for each view, and a conclusion. “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help signal the discussion, and the ideas generally follow a sensible order. However, some linking is mechanical, and connections within paragraphs are occasionally unclear. For instance, the sentence about using multiple devices and watching offline adds another online benefit, but its relationship to the preceding example is not made explicit. The long second-side paragraph also combines cultural, social, and economic points without clear internal organisation. Use topic sentences and divide or sequence these points more deliberately; make references such as “this platform” clearly identify their subject.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “digital sources,” “cultural exchange,” “sentimental values,” and “job opportunities.” These choices show an effort to discuss both practical and social aspects of entertainment. However, noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow, such as “vast verity,” “PHEMONIMA,” “stronglly connected,” and “luxury taxes.” Some phrases are also imprecise or unnatural, including “interpersonal intelligence” for personal preferences and “British world” for a region or culture. Aim for accurate, natural combinations rather than adding complex-sounding expressions. Proofread spelling and choose straightforward terms when you are unsure of a phrase.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and attempts at longer, more complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “as,” and “so.” This gives the response some structural variety, and the main ideas can generally be understood. However, there are some recurring errors in sentence formation and agreement. For example, “It is often argue” needs a passive form, while “platforms … offers” and “cinemas and theatres helps” have subject–verb agreement problems. Several sentences lack a complete or correctly connected clause, as in “They strongly connected emotionally and socially.” Capitalisation throughout is also distracting, and punctuation is missing between some sentences. Practise accurate sentence boundaries, verb forms, and agreement while retaining your attempts at complex structures.
