Nowadays, some people believe that cinemas and theatres have become less important because people can watch all favourite entertainment online. However, others aruge that cinemas and theatres still play a important role in economy and culture. In my opinion , online entertainment is more convenient but theatres and cinemas remains important for both economic and cultural reasons.
People can watch movies and all entertainment like as dramas , movies and web series in online through the internet. The major reason people can not travel to cinemas or theatres or followed fix time table.online entertainment can be cheaper than going to cinemas, people can save money, tickets or transportation. Evidence for this is provided that students and children can watch the movies to Netflix and watch the cartoons in Youtube in free time because it is convenient way to watch all favourite entertainment.
On the other hand, many people believe that theatres and cinemas are still important because they provide economic and cultural benefits. Firstly, cinemas create employment opportunities for many people, including ticket sellers, security staff and other workers. For example, a new cinema can provide jobs to local residents and attract customers to nearby restaurants. Secondly, cinemas help promote local culture and traditions through films. For instance, Pakistani movies can introduce audiences to local languages, traditions and social issues. Therefore, theatres and cinemas continue to play an important role in society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and give a clear opinion: online entertainment is more convenient, while cinemas and theatres remain important economically and culturally. The economic case is supported with relevant examples, such as cinema jobs and customers benefiting nearby restaurants; the cultural point is illustrated through Pakistani films. The online-view paragraph also gives reasons, including cost and convenience, but its examples and explanation are less clearly developed, and the discussion focuses mainly on cinemas rather than theatres. To strengthen the response, explain more precisely how online access affects entertainment venues and develop the cultural and economic arguments with comparable detail. Your position is present, though the conclusion does not restate it clearly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph presenting the online view, a paragraph supporting the continuing importance of venues, and a conclusion. The contrast marker “On the other hand” helps signal the shift between views, and “Firstly” and “Secondly” organise the supporting points. However, progression is uneven: the first body paragraph moves between access, cost and examples without clearly separating or linking these points, while the conclusion is difficult to follow and does not clearly synthesise the discussion. Some connections are also mechanical, particularly the repeated use of “because.” Use clearer topic sentences and link each example explicitly to the point it supports; make the final paragraph a concise summary of both views and your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “employment opportunities,” “local residents,” “local culture and traditions,” and “social issues.” These phrases suit the discussion and show some range beyond basic terms. However, noticeable word-choice, spelling and collocation problems sometimes make the meaning less clear: “all favourite entertainment,” “followed fix time table,” “watch the movies to Netflix,” and “represents the culture or economy” are not natural expressions. There are also misspellings such as “aruge,” “wattch,” and “theatrs.” Build accuracy by learning common collocations for media and public venues, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise phrasing would make your ideas easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more developed sentence forms, including a sentence with “because” and the example introduced by “For instance.” The main ideas are generally understandable, but errors in sentence boundaries, agreement, articles and verb forms occur often enough to affect clarity. For example, “online entertainment can be cheaper …, people can save money” joins two independent clauses incorrectly, and “cinemas and theatres remains important” has a subject–verb agreement error. The opening also runs sentences together after “online,” while the conclusion contains unclear structures such as “people … saves money” and “its may advantages.” Practise accurate sentence boundaries and subject–verb agreement, then proofread articles and verb forms. Aim for controlled complex sentences rather than adding clauses that are difficult to manage.
