Student answer (Band 5.5)

In the contemporary society, by the emergence of technology people prefers to watch movies, serials and concerts online via digital resources despite moving towards theatres and cinemas. Some people believe that going in person towards entertainment places is not so significant in the present time. However, other argue that it is still indispensable for economic stability and cultural exposure. I agree to the perspective of, there is no need to go towards cinemas and theatres because it can save an individual's cost and the time they spent to travel from home to the allocated places. Other than this while watching online can allow a person to fulfil other duties simultaniously.

One of the major reasons for why I agree to the concept of watching online is, if an individual will plan to visit cinema to watch a movie he/she must need to buy a ticket first. Most often, the tickets for movies and special performance are quite expensive. Therefore, a common person cannot afford the cost of ticket as well as the travel expences. So, the preference for digital entertainment is a budget friendly option for everyone. And almost everyone can enjoy these entertainments without being worring about the cost.

Another significant reason is, whenever we require to travel towards onsite places for watching films or dramas it can waste e time. We also need to put other tasks aside while making plan to visit cinemas. Nevertheless, if we have oppurtunity to watch the same film at home, it would be convinient to manage other household tasks also. For instance, most of the time when i have to cook dinner for my family i can readily watch any serials episode online while cooking food. But going towards any particular place for enjoyment will restrict multitasking.

In conclusion, though theatres and cinemas can be beneficial for economoc stability and cultural awareness still it can have demerits for individual. They can cost them high amont of money as well as waste of more time while traveling. And it can also limit a person ability to be multitasker and stop a person to fulfill other crucial tasks.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You state a clear preference for online entertainment and give relevant reasons, especially lower costs and the ability to combine viewing with household tasks. The examples about ticket and travel expenses and watching a serial while cooking help explain your position. However, the task asks you to discuss both views, and the opposing case is only briefly acknowledged in the introduction and conclusion through references to economic stability and cultural awareness. These points are not explained or supported, so the response addresses the task only partially. Develop the other side with specific benefits, such as employment and revenue for local businesses, or the shared cultural experience of a live performance, then explain why your own view remains stronger.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, two paragraphs presenting reasons for your view, and a conclusion. The progression from affordability to convenience is easy to follow, and signposts such as “Another significant reason” and “In conclusion” help readers navigate the argument. At times, however, linking is mechanical or unclear. “Other than this while watching online” does not connect smoothly to the preceding sentence, and “Nevertheless” introduces a contrast that is not fully clear in context. The conclusion also repeats the cost and time points rather than bringing both sides together. Use more precise transitions and refer clearly to the ideas being contrasted; a separate paragraph developing the opposing view would also improve the overall progression.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “digital resources,” “economic stability,” “cultural exposure,” and “multitasking,” which makes your main ideas understandable. There are also noticeable problems with word choice, collocation, word forms, and spelling that sometimes make the phrasing awkward: “moving towards theatres,” “travel expences,” “budget friendly,” and “economoc stability.” Some expressions are also repeated, particularly “cinemas and theatres” and “watching online.” Aim for more natural combinations and check spelling carefully. For example, use “attend a cinema,” “travel expenses,” and “a budget-friendly option.” Greater precision and more consistent control of these choices would make the argument clearer and more fluent.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if we have opportunity to watch the same film at home” and clauses introduced by “while.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence construction occur frequently enough to affect clarity. Examples include “people prefers,” “other argue,” and “if an individual will plan … he/she must need to buy.” The sentence beginning “I agree to the perspective of” is also difficult to follow because its structure is incomplete or awkward. Practise forming direct, controlled sentences, especially with conditionals and subject–verb agreement, and check articles and punctuation. For instance: “If someone plans to visit a cinema, they need to buy a ticket.”
