Student answer (Band 5.5)
Development of Internet has brought a significant change in society's life especially in entertainment industry. A lot of individuals belief that theatres and cinemas are no longer vital as moviegoers can stream films and other entertainment they want online. While some people claim that theatres and cinemas are still fundamental for economy and culture. In my opinion, streaming movies online is more accessible and more pocket-friendly.
The most valuable importance streaming films online is accessibility and affordability. Through internet, the public can watch films at any time of the day at the comfort of their homes or any convenient place for them. Through this arrangement, people can manage their time more wisely without rushing to catch the designated timeslot for a movie. In addition, they can also enjoy a home-cooked meal or a takeaway that they can share while watching the film. As a result, friends and families have more time to focus better on the storyline and immerse their selves on the lessons and message of the movie it wants to convey. Aside from that, people can react freely on the performance of the actors or scenes that are remarkable without the risk of disturbing other watchers.
It is undeniably true that theatres and cinemas are both economically and culturally important because films has been a part of everyone's life. It has been one mode of learning and discovering new places that could boosts one's place toruism and learning other people's traditional practices through the setting and storyline of a movie. Theaters and cinemas has also provided job opportunities to vendors, technicians, maintenance, and food servers which gave them financial resources by serving moviegoers.
In conclusion, streaming movies online gives people more accessibility and affordability by enjoying it at any people's covenient time and place.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both perspectives and state your preference for online streaming, so the response is relevant to the task. The first body paragraph gives several reasons for streaming, including convenience, flexible viewing times and the ability to watch at home. The second also identifies cultural and economic contributions of cinemas, such as employment and exposure to other traditions. However, the discussion is uneven: the case for cinemas is brief, and the cultural point about learning through films is not clearly connected to why theatres themselves remain important. Your conclusion repeats the preference for streaming but does not bring the two views together. Develop the cinema argument with a specific example and explain more directly why its cultural or economic value matters despite online access.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. This makes the main line of discussion easy to follow. You also use signposts such as “In addition,” “Aside from that,” and “In conclusion” to show how points relate. At times, however, the links feel mechanical, and some references are unclear. For example, “the lessons and message of the movie it wants to convey” leaves the reader unsure what “it” refers to, while the opening of the cinema paragraph shifts abruptly from the streaming discussion. The conclusion also restates one side without summarising the contrast. Use clearer referencing and connect the paragraphs with a sentence that explicitly signals the opposing view.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary for entertainment, access and employment, including “stream films,” “designated timeslot,” “immerse,” “storyline,” and “job opportunities.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, and you attempt some less common expressions. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, which limits precision: “the most valuable importance” is redundant, “individuals belief” uses the wrong form, and “boosts one's place toruism” is unclear. There are also spelling errors such as “toruism” and “covenient.” Aim for natural combinations and check word forms and spelling. For instance, use “the main advantage” rather than “the most valuable importance,” and “local tourism” rather than “place tourism.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including clauses beginning “While” and “because,” and most of the message remains understandable. Some grammatical errors recur, particularly with subject–verb agreement, articles and sentence construction. For example, “films has been” should be “films have been,” and “Theaters and cinemas has also provided” should be “Theatres and cinemas have also provided.” The opening “While some people claim…” is a dependent clause presented as a complete sentence; connect it to the preceding sentence or rewrite it as a full independent clause. In “at the comfort of their homes,” the article and preposition pattern also needs correction. Review agreement and ensure each sentence has a complete main clause.
