Student answer (Band 5.0)
In the era of modern technology some individuals argue that theatres and cinema are no longer important people can watch all the entertainment via online. However, other argue that theatres and cinemas are still important for econimically and culturally. I believe that technology help us to watch entertainment on mobile while the theatres are important for economically and culturally.
To begin with, some people argue that theatres and cinemas are doesn't need longer we can watch the entertainment via internet. The digital age help us to save our travelling time to theatres and cinemas, we can watch the entertainment online with the help of internet. Also, we are able to save our money while watching different online entertainment in the price of one theatre movie fees and also we enjoy movie on theatres and cinemas with the strangers.
On the other hand, other people argue that cinemas are still important for us to help in economic growth and culturally. Theatres and cinemas are still important for the economic growth. For example, there is a latest movie is live on theatres it generate over the 1000 crore rupees in just 10 days. Or in most of the places it show the culture of the cinemas and theatres how the people are the connected them when there is no modern technology. All individuals, watch the movie with strangers and less prices and it contribute in it.
In conclusion, thatres and cinemas are impotant for the economic of country and in the culture also. However, Digital age also provide these kind of services with the help of technology.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both views and state your position: online entertainment is convenient, while cinemas remain economically and culturally important. The examples about saving travel time and money address the first view, and the reference to a film earning “1000 crore rupees in just 10 days” gives a relevant economic illustration. However, the cultural argument is difficult to follow, particularly “it show the culture of the cinemas and theatres,” and the conclusion mostly repeats the opening rather than clarifying how you weigh the two views. Some claims also need explanation—for example, how cinema attendance contributes to a country’s economy beyond one film’s earnings. Develop the cultural point and explain your own position more fully to make the response more complete and convincing. The stated length requirement is met; eight words copied from the prompt were not counted.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: the first body paragraph moves from travel time to cost and then to watching with strangers without clearly connecting these points. The second paragraph repeats that cinemas are important for economic growth, while the cultural explanation is hard to trace. Some linking is mechanical, and references such as “it” and “them” do not always make clear what is being discussed. Organise each paragraph around one main idea, then explain and support it in a clear sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “digital age,” “economic growth,” “culturally,” and “online entertainment.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning unclear. For example, “important for economically” is not a natural phrase, and “the people are the connected them” does not clearly express the intended cultural connection. Spelling errors such as “econimically,” “thatres,” and “impotant” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural expressions and check spelling carefully. Replacing repeated general terms such as “important” and “entertainment” with suitable alternatives would also make the discussion more flexible and specific.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, and the overall meaning can usually be understood. However, control is inconsistent, with frequent errors in sentence construction, agreement, verb forms, and articles. For instance, “other argue” needs a plural subject and verb agreement, while “theatres and cinemas are doesn't need” combines incompatible verb forms. In “The digital age help us,” the subject and verb do not agree, and “it generate” has the same problem. Several sentences also run together without appropriate punctuation, such as the opening sentence of the first body paragraph. Practise building accurate clauses first, then connect them with conjunctions or full stops; check subject–verb agreement and verb forms in every sentence.
