Student answer (Band 4.5)
Nowadays, there is a growing debate about whether theatres and cinemas is no important because people now can watch all the entertainment they want online, In my opinion i believe thats idea is incorrect, theatres and cinemas still important.
firstly, one major reason is that was the culture, this is because the cinema have different vibes also would make a feeling like a naturally and confortable when watshing a film or podcast, furthermore in cinema find a awarness poeple who caring about cultures, in addition the theather demonstrates they how own fathers have been funned in there time, for example theather of rome, as a result cinema and theather still important.
Secondly, another important point is that watching online is better sometimes, this is because several things like the weather, when the vibe is raining and colding their they watching at home in phone or in pc is better for health and they have more confortble, for example in winter and the weather is swining, however if can be going to cinema on these vibes they have a significant feeling on the wholl days.
In conclusion, i believe thats cenima and theather is important and significant thing this is mainly because the culture also the vibes of these.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You give a clear opinion that theatres and cinemas remain important, and you attempt to discuss both the cultural value of attending in person and the convenience of watching at home. However, the discussion is only minimally developed: the cultural paragraph contains unclear claims, such as “the theather demonstrates they how own fathers have been funned,” while the point about online viewing focuses mainly on cold or rainy weather rather than explaining its broader advantages. The task asks for both views and your opinion, so develop each side with clear reasons and relevant examples. The response is 199 words, below the 250-word minimum; the eight words copied from the prompt are not counted. This shortfall also limits how fully you can address the task.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
Your response has a recognisable structure, with an opening opinion, two body paragraphs introduced by “firstly” and “Secondly,” and a conclusion. These markers help the reader identify the main sections. However, the progression within paragraphs is difficult to follow because several ideas are joined without clear relationships. For example, the cultural paragraph moves from cinema’s “different vibes” to people who care about culture and then to Roman theatre, without explaining the links. The second paragraph also shifts from the comfort of staying home to the “significant feeling” of going to the cinema. Use one main idea per paragraph, explain it in a logical sequence, and make references and contrasts explicit rather than relying mainly on basic linking words.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “culture,” “entertainment,” “online,” and “significant,” and you attempt to express ideas about atmosphere and comfort. However, the range is basic and several inaccurate or unclear word choices make meaning difficult to understand. Phrases such as “a naturally and confortable” and “awarness poeple who caring about cultures” do not communicate your intended meaning clearly; “funned” and “swining” are also unsuitable or misspelled. Repetition of “important,” “vibes,” and “better” limits precision. Build a small set of accurate topic phrases—for example, “shared viewing experience,” “cultural heritage,” and “convenient access”—and check spelling and collocations before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to use both simple statements and longer sentences with connectors such as “because,” “furthermore,” and “as a result.” This shows an effort to connect reasons and examples. However, grammatical errors are frequent and sometimes make the intended meaning hard to recover. Examples include “theatres and cinemas is,” “the cinema have,” and “they watching at home,” which show problems with subject–verb agreement and verb forms. Articles and sentence boundaries are also unreliable, as in “one major reason is that was the culture” and the opening sentence, which runs into the next clause with a comma. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then add subordinate clauses; check agreement, verb forms, articles, and full stops during revision.
