Student answer (Band 5.0)
FIRST OF ALL ACCORDING TO MY OPINION THE THEATRES AND CINEMAS ARE ONLY THE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY NOW A DAY PEOPLE CAN SEE ALL THE MOVIES AND SHOWS IN THEIR HOME WITH THEIR FAMILY. IT IS THE BEST THING THAT YOU CAN DO IT FOR YOUR FAMILY LIKE WHEN YOU WATCH FILMS WITH YOUR FAMILY AT HOME IT WILL INCREASE THE SENSE OF BETTER RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR FAMILY AND ALONG WITH THAT YOU CAN DO ANYTHING WHAT YOU WANT LIKE YOU CAN FRELLY TALK WITH YOUR FAMILY BUT IN CINEMAS YOU CANNOT,MOREOVER NOW YOU CAN WATCH ALL TYPES OF SHOWS AND MOVIES ON INTERNET WHCIH IS LESS EXPENSIVE THEN THE TICKET OF CINEMAS AND THEATRES.
BUT ON THE OTHER HAND SOME PEOPLE STILL THINK THAT CINEMAS ARE STILL BEST FOR WATCHING MOVIES AND SHOWS .LIKE FOR EXAMPLE THEY THINK YOU CAN HANGOUT WITH YOUR FAMILY IF YOU BRING THEM TO CINEMAS AND THEATRES.ANOTHER OPINION IS THAT THEY THING THROUGH THIS YOU CAN MEETS DIFFERET KIND OF PEOPLE IN THEAHRES AND YOU CAN KNOW ABOUT THE DIFFERENT VIEWS OF PEOPLE ABOUT THE FILMS AND SHOW. ANOTHER THING IS THAT THEY THING THROUGH THEY THE ENHANCED THE NATIONAL INTEGRETY BETWEEN THE PEOPLE OF COUNTRY. MOREOVER THEY ALSO THINK THROUGH THROUGH THIS THE PEOPLE OF COUNTRY TAKE PART IN THE ECONOMY OF COUNTRY IF THEY BUY THE TICKET ON HIGH PRICE.
LASTELY ACCORDING TO MY EXPERINCE IN THE LAST MONTH I VISIT A CINEMA WHCIH IS IN MY TOWN AND I WATCHED A MOVIE IN THEIR AND ITS COSTS ME AROUND ABOUT 50 DOLLORS THAT WAS TOO EXPENSIVE BUT WHEN I CAME BACK FROM CINEMA I CHECK THE PRICE OF THAT MOVIE ONLINE ON INTERNET IT PRICE WAS ONLY 27 DOLLOR .SO IN THAT TIME I CONSIDER ABOUT THE CINEMAS AND NOW I THINK THAT WE SHOULD HAVE TO WATCH ALL THE MOVIES ON INTERNET INSTEAD OF GOING TO CINEMAS.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You present a clear preference for watching films online, supported by reasons such as lower cost and the ability to spend time with family at home. You also include several arguments for cinemas, including social interaction and their contribution to the economy, so both views are recognisable. However, the discussion is uneven: the cultural importance of theatres is mentioned briefly through meeting people and national unity, but these points are not explained or supported with a specific example. Your personal cinema visit supports your opinion, although the comparison of ticket and online prices does not fully address the wider cultural and economic arguments. Develop each side more evenly and explain how your examples prove your claims.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic overall structure: it begins with your view, moves to the opposing view, and ends with a personal example and conclusion. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these sections. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow because many ideas are joined into long sequences, and connectors such as “moreover,” “another thing,” and “but on the other hand” are repeated mechanically. Some references are unclear, particularly “through this” and “they think through they the enhanced,” which makes the relationship between claims hard to identify. Use shorter, clearly focused paragraphs and connect each reason to its explanation. A direct concluding sentence would also make the final position easier to recognise.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
Your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the main topic, with relevant terms such as “cinemas,” “movies,” “ticket,” “economy,” and “national integrity.” However, the range is basic and repetitive, especially in the repeated use of “think,” “thing,” “people,” and “shows.” Frequent spelling errors, including “whcih,” “differet,” “integrety,” and “experince,” reduce accuracy and can make the reader pause. Some expressions are also imprecise or unnatural, such as “theatres and cinemas are only the waste of time and money” and “hangout with your family.” Build a more precise range for discussing cultural and economic value, and check spelling and collocations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt some longer sentences using clauses and linking words, for example the sentence beginning “when you watch films with your family at home.” However, these complex attempts are often faulty, and sentence boundaries are frequently unclear. Errors include “you can do it for your family,” “you can meets,” “I visit a cinema,” and “it costs me,” where verb forms or agreement are incorrect. Articles and sentence construction also need attention, as in “in their” and “we should have to watch.” Capital letters throughout and missing spaces after punctuation further affect readability. Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then add subordinate clauses while checking subject–verb agreement, tense, articles, and punctuation.
