Student answer (Band 5.5)

Wtaching films is a good way of entertainment. A number of people think that in this modern time, theaters and cinemas are not important like before cause people had easy access to enjoy these in the online platform, while others disagree that these halls are imperative for both financially and traditionally.I personally found that these offline movie stages are essential for us.

Due to the new technological era, nowadays it is very easy to obtain some online platform and enjoy the hall materials staying home. Some people found it more comfortable and also affordable cause it saves both money and time. Also there are some features avaiable for the these people like they can see the reply and any scene or any movement. As well as there are some extra option like they can increase the playback speed so that they can finish the overall package in between limited time.Through I also watch some shows staying at the home but im not totally agree with this group of people.

Another Community who want to enjoy these platfrom offline casue they found it is still beneficial like before for both economical and traditional view.I agree with this gruop of people cause there are some films which realeases after many years of waiting period and fans are cusious about the new storyline, twist, action and emotion will happen in the films.so they want to enjoy it direcly going to the theater hall.Like have seen the "KGF Chapter 2" first day first show cause im a huge fan of the actor. Also there are advantage of this like we can see the picture in the latest day of realese. And around three fourth of the movies income earned from this offline platform.

In conclusion. through watching online have some advantages but i prefer to go to the hall cause i enjoy it watching with more houndreds of people.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both views and state a clear preference for cinemas, so the response covers the main parts of the question. The online-view paragraph gives relevant reasons—convenience, affordability, and control over playback—while the opposing view is supported with the example of seeing “KGF Chapter 2” on its first day. However, the economic and cultural importance of cinemas is not fully explained: the claim that “three fourth” of film income comes from offline platforms is unsupported, and the cultural value is mostly reduced to fans’ excitement. Develop these points with clearer reasoning, such as employment and local business benefits or the shared social experience of watching a film. Your position is present, but a more balanced and specific discussion would strengthen the response.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, one paragraph for online viewing, one for cinemas, and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow the two sides, and transitions such as “Also” and “In conclusion” signal relationships between ideas. However, some links are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Through I also watch some shows” does not clearly connect the online-view discussion to your qualification, and “Another Community” introduces the second view awkwardly. Several ideas are crowded into long sentences, while the conclusion begins with a fragment-like “In conclusion.” followed by another sentence. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each supporting detail explicitly to the paragraph’s main point; this would make progression smoother and references easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “online platform,” “playback speed,” “storyline,” and “first day first show,” which helps communicate the subject. There are also attempts at less common expressions such as “imperative” and “economical,” but several choices are inaccurate or unnatural, including “hall materials,” “offline movie stages,” and “latest day of realese.” Spelling errors such as “avaiable,” “platfrom,” and “cusious” are noticeable, and repeated use of “enjoy” and “people” limits variety. These issues sometimes make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Build a more reliable range of collocations for this topic—for example, “stream films at home,” “cinema audience,” and “box-office revenue”—and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including explanations with “cause” and clauses beginning “so that.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but errors in sentence construction and punctuation occur in several places. For example, “Some people found it more comfortable” shifts into the past despite describing a general present-day view, and “Through I also watch some shows staying at the home” has an unclear clause structure. In “there are some films which realeases,” the verb does not agree with the plural subject, while “im not totally agree” uses an incorrect verb pattern. Commas and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent. Practise accurate present-tense statements and clause patterns, then proofread for agreement, articles, and punctuation.
