Student answer (Band 5.0)
From an analytical perspective, some people say that in the digital age, theatres and cinemas are no longer important as people can watch all the entertainment they want online. Others argue that theatres and cinemas are still important both economically and culturally. This essay will discuss both views before giving my view why I agree theatres and cinamas are important.
On the one hand, cinemas and theatres provide entertainment and give fresh perspective about the film industry and the world. For example, if any country provides theatres and cinemas , then it attracts many people to watch movies . In this way, many jobs are created and government earns huge profits . Furthermore, many actors are performed at the stage theatres and lives batter life. It promotes culltures and contibutes in the country's prosperty.
On the other side , in the digital age , theatres and cinemas are no longer important becuase many people think it is a waste of money and time. In the mobile phone, everything is available at the finger distance . For example, young generation is also spoiling because of that entertainment. They spend money and time and do not pay attention at the study. Therefore, theatres and cinemas are less compulsory in the modern era.
In the modern era , people are still bond with their work and need some entertainment and freshness. Theaters and cinemas provide social bond and relaxed environment and provide peace in the busy life . So, government should launch some polices about that entertainment sources. In this way, economic growth and enjoyment of life remains same .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both views and state your position, saying you agree that theatres and cinemas remain important. The economic and cultural points—job creation, government income, actors’ work and cultural promotion—are relevant, as is the point that online entertainment is convenient. However, the discussion is only partial: the online-view paragraph shifts to young people’s study habits rather than explaining fully why online access makes venues less important, and the final paragraph repeats your support without developing it with a specific example. Your position is present but could be clearer and more consistently supported. The response is 216 words, so it is 34 words below the required minimum; this limits the space available to develop the ideas and examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, paragraphs presenting opposing views, and a concluding paragraph. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other side,” and “In the modern era” help readers identify the stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven. The move from online convenience to young people neglecting study is not clearly connected to the question of whether cinemas and theatres remain important, and the conclusion introduces a recommendation for government policies without explaining it. Some linking is mechanical or repetitive, and punctuation spacing makes transitions less smooth. To improve, organise each body paragraph around one main reason, explain its connection to the question, and use clearer references between sentences.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “economic growth,” “government,” “actors,” and “social bond,” so the reader can follow the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, word-form, and spelling errors make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “fresh perspective about the film industry,” “finger distance,” “lives batter life,” and “economic ... remains same.” There are also misspellings such as “cinamas,” “becuase,” and “culltures.” These errors sometimes obscure the intended meaning, which is why greater accuracy and variety are needed. Build a bank of natural phrases for discussing employment, cultural value, convenience, and audience experience, and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional example beginning “if any country provides theatres and cinemas” and a reason clause with “because.” However, the range is limited, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction sometimes make meaning difficult to follow. For example, “many actors are performed” uses an incorrect passive form, while “government earns huge profits” needs an article or plural form. In “young generation is also spoiling,” the sentence structure does not clearly express who is affected or how. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with spaces before commas and missing spaces after full stops. Practise accurate basic clauses first, then add complex structures and proofread each sentence.
